Sr Staff Application Engineer Pavia, Italy 75, to , Bonus SIGNING BONUS Paid Relocation Responsibilities Provide technical support for system-level debugging to internal or external teams. Analyze and debug silicon-level internal IPs like High-Speed SerDes for semiconductor products. Evaluate and debug new features in PHY, develop driver firmware, collect performance data, and resolve application and production issues. Offer technical support to top-tier customers, review designs, and optimize performance to meet system requirements. Create and execute bench-level validation test plans, develop testing scripts, and automate testing. Generate test reports and write application notes. Assist customers in resolving technical issues and provide collateral documentation. Act as a primary technical interface between the company and customers. Qualify design activity at the customer engineering level and contribute to new product definition and identification of niche opportunities. Work on-site full-time in Pavia, Italy. What We're Looking For Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering / Science, or related field with five years of relevant experience. Masters degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering is preferred. Strong understanding of communication, transmission lines, EM, and microwave theories. Experience with test script generation in Python, VBA, MATLAB, or similar languages. Proficiency in debugging using equipment like Oscilloscope, TDR, VNA, and Logic Analyzer. Experience in bench analysis with equipment like BERT or AWG is a plus. Experience in performing compliance testing for PCIE Gen4 / 5 and high-speed SerDes PCB design. Ability to interact with remote teams and willingness to travel. Fluency in spoken and written English. J-*****-Ljbffr
