We were meant to fly.Supplier quality engineer shall drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. Own supplier audits and product qualification, ensuring compliance. Drive supplier results and improvements according to the company KPIs targets.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesSupplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality DevelopmentAct as primary interface between supplier and GE Avio Aero for any quality issues. Work in collaboration with Sourcing and Engineering, Manufacturing to eliminate roadblocks and barrier. Develop compliance solutions to complex problems. Lead RCCA processApprove supplier selection through robust qualification processes and part qualification.Ensure that suppliers comply with quality requirements, including technical regulation and standards by owning the surveillance and perform quality auditsProactive monitoring of the performance of suppliers to ensure that they remain in a state of controlLeading the effort to drive improvement and for the development & assessment of quality metrics, KPIs and reports associated with suppliersSuppliers Quality Plan implementationAll other duties as assigned by managerQualifications/RequirementsMaster's degree in Mechanics or Materials/Chemical engineering with metallurgical orientationPrevious experience in the same role in automotive or aerospace companiesExperience/knowledge of forging and casting processesAbility to read fluently technical drawing and regulationsBasic knowledge of Quality toolsBasic knowledge of measurement method and inspection techniqueFluency in English and ItalianAvailability to frequent travel, EU and abroadWork Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsAbility to work in a global environmentLeadership with suppliers dutiesStrong oral and written communication skillsInterpersonal and teamwork skillsMultitask approachProblem solverFocused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committedHumble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learnWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes smart work in hybrid mode, and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
