Backend Rust Engineer - Options TradingSince our beginnings in ****, we've grown to be a leading change-maker in the digital asset space, renowned for our partnerships and innovation.We now have over 200 team members worldwide, a primarily remote team with hubs in London, Brussels and Singapore.We trade on more than 80 exchanges and offer services spanning market making, options trading, high-frequency trading, OTC and DeFi desks.As pioneers in Rust for algorithmic trading, we aim to expand our low-latency options trading system.We are looking for a Rust or C++ Engineer with extensive HFT Trading Systems experience to join our Options Business Unit.You'll be part of a small but rapidly growing fully remote engineering team, building and improving a low-latency options trading system.The ideal candidate will be willing to learn and become an expert in Rust if not already proficient.We're open to candidates with C++/C backgrounds as well.Required SkillsStrong scalable systems architecture and simple, extendable APIs.Experience with low-latency and/or option trading is highly valued.Capable of working in a globally remote async team.Pragmatic problem-solving through iterations, balancing business requirements with a long-term technical vision.Ownership from gathering initial requirements to deployment.Operational mindset, understanding of infrastructure and deployments.Background and Experience5+ years of expert experience in low-latency or data-heavy trading systems.Strong experience with Rust and/or C/C++.Willingness to become an expert in Rust if not already.Experience with unit and integration testing or equivalent functional testing approaches.Options trading knowledge or keen interest considered essential.Previous experience with exchange connectivity and/or FPGA technologies is valuable.Experience with PostgreSQL databases and protobuf-based protocols (or similar technologies) considered essential.Competences and PersonalityProblem-solving and pragmatic approach to system design and implementation.Entrepreneurial, big-picture architectural thinking with attention to detail.Excellent communication skills and a team-player mindset for a fully remote global team.Recruitment ProcessInitial HR interview.Interview with the heads of the Options business unit.Technical challenge (home-work type).Challenge debrief and discussion.Offer.Our OfferA competitive salary package with benefits depending on engagement type (employee or freelancer).Autonomy in time management with flexible working hours and remote work.The freedom to create your own entrepreneurial experience within a high-performance team.As an employer we are committed to building an inclusive, diverse and non-discriminating work environment.We welcome employees of all backgrounds, ethnicities, genders, creeds and sexual orientations.We hire, reward and promote entirely based on merit and performance.Due to the nature of our business and external requirements, we perform background checks on all potential employees; passing is a prerequisite to join Keyrock.#J-*****-Ljbffr
