Software Engineer (Computer Vision / C++/Python) Senior Information Technology Recruitment Consultant for European Union CountriesExpert in AI/NLP/ML, Level: 5, Onsite ISPRAJRC-G.II.7 is developing information systems supporting nuclear safeguards inspectors during the monitoring and verification of nuclear facilities.Activities include the development and implementation of systems that are field-deployed by nuclear safeguards inspectors, as well as the underpinning research in information data analysis.In particular, the unit has an AI pole that aims to apply artificial intelligence, machine learning and robotics techniques to the field of nuclear safeguards.The objective of the contract is to design the architecture and develop prototypes of new algorithms and applications.TasksThe task covers the development, testing and deployment of systems that will be installed in nuclear facilities for processing and analysis of safeguards data.It covers the continued development of LCCT (Laser Curtain for Containment and Tracking), which is a surveillance system based on 3D laser scanners, and will also include other development of machine learning algorithms for processing other safeguards data, for example video imagery.General Requirements & Specific ExpertiseThe contractor should have strong expertise in software development, including Python, C++ and Qt libraries, as well as experience with the major machine learning frameworks.He/she should have professional experience involving the analysis of 2D and 3D image data and a solid mathematical background.Experience in the development of large, multi-threaded software systems is of advantage.Good knowledge of English is required.Client's detailed information:Core Technical Skills:C++ and Python.AI Experience:Preferred, but flexible.A candidate with strong software development skills in C++, Python, and Computer Vision can be considered even if AI experience is limited.Candidate Profile Balance:Ideal: 50% Software Development (C++, Python, Computer Vision) + 50% AI experience.Acceptable: 80% Software Development (C++, Python, Computer Vision) + limited AI experience.Priority:Strong software development capabilities are more critical than AI expertise.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionInformation TechnologyIndustries: Technology, Information and MediaMendrisio, Ticino, Switzerland#J-*****-Ljbffr
