Data Center Operation Engineer, DCO (Data Center Operations) Amazon Web Services (AWS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.As the team that keeps the cloud running, we support all AWS data centers and the entire stack of servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that enable customers to have continual access to the innovation they rely on.You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.Your work will be shift-based, on-call, or a combination, and you will help ensure our data centers operate safely, securely, and at the lowest possible cost.Key Job Responsibilities- Maintain a high level of system reliability by prioritizing and resolving trouble tickets related to Systems and Network hardware problems.- Linux server and XEN service virtualization troubleshooting.- Remediate physical layer outages on both Systems & Network.- Participate in Data Center power & cooling events - 24x7 On-Call requirements and shift rotations.- Install & configure racks in-line with internal SLAs.- Triage & resolve trouble tickets for all devices.- Physical replacement of server and network devices.- Define metrics to increase customer uptime.- Enforce Amazon's Security Best Practices.- Interact with third-party vendors & contractors.- Contribute ideas to improve operational efficiency.- Participate in and deliver on a number of local, regional, and global projects.- Participate in team meetings for metric analysis and project status updates.- Contribute to building the world's largest Cloud infrastructure.- Cover 24x7 shift rotation (On-Call).?? ?? ??
