Description Do you want to build a better future?About Enfinity GlobalEnfinity Global is a purpose-driven company focused on making a positive impact on the planet by helping companies, governments, and individuals transition to a carbon-free and sustainable economy.Our role as a leading IPP is to develop, finance, build, operate, and own renewable energy assets in the long term in Europe, Asia, and the Americas through our offices in the USA, Spain, Italy, UK, Netherlands, India, and JapanOur team of over 400 Enfiniters comprises seasoned finance professionals, as well as experienced project developers and operators with extensive industry experience across all stages of the project life cycle.We pride ourselves on being creative and innovative solution providers to our customers and partner.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior BESS Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of grid-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).The ideal candidate will have extensive technical expertise in renewable systems engineering and be responsible for driving projects from conceptual design through commissioning and operation.This role requires a deep understanding of BESS technologies, industry standards, and a proven ability to manage the technical aspects of equipment procurement and vendor selection.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & DevelopmentLead the electrical design of BESS projects, including the development of conceptual layouts, single-line diagrams, load flow analysis, and control schematics.Procurement & Vendor ManagementOversee and provide technical support for the procurement processes, ensuring alignment with project specifications and requirements.Develop detailed technical specifications and scopes of work for RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and tender documents.Evaluate vendor bids, perform techno-economic comparisons (benchmarking), and select suitable technologies and equipment suppliers.Negotiate with suppliers technical aspects of contracts, warranties, and supply terms with BESS suppliers, including batteries, inverters, and control systems.Collaborate with the commercial and legal teams to ensure all supply contracts meet technical, quality, and budgetary requirements.Standards & ComplianceEnsure all designs comply with applicable codes and standards, such as NEC, UL ****, NFPA 855, IEEE ****, and European local utilities/AHJ permitting requirements.Project Lifecycle SupportProvide technical assistance throughout the project lifecycle, including cost estimates, submittal reviews, RFI responses, and construction/commissioning support.CollaborationCoordinate with cross-functional engineering teams (civil, structural, mechanical, SCADA/telecommunications) to develop complete design packages.Performance AnalysisModel system behavior for performance, lifecycle, and resiliency scenarios using industry tools.ExperienceA minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in energy storage, power systems, or related fields, with a specific focus on BESS design and integration.Procurement ExperienceProven experience in the procurement cycle, including writing technical specifications, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts for BESS or related capital equipment.EducationBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related engineering discipline (Master's degree preferred).Technical SkillsProficiency with BESS components, including inverters, BMS (Battery Management Systems), EMS (Energy Management Systems), and PCS (Power Conversion Systems).Strong understanding of power systems engineering topics such as load flow, short circuit, and protective device coordination.Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD preferred) and modeling tools (e.g., PSCAD, ETAP).Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong negotiation abilities.Preferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is mandatory.Experience with microgrid design and control architectures.Ability to travel occasionally for site visits, client meetings, or field commissioning support.Private Health InsurancePension PlanPaid Time OffWork From HomeTraining & DevelopmentPerformance Bonus#J-*****-Ljbffr
