Join to apply for theCybersecurity and Platform Engineerrole atAlpian Bank.We are seeking aCybersecurity and Platform Engineerto help design, build, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure for our applications.You'll play a key role in embedding security into every stage of the platform lifecycle—from design to deployment—while enabling fast, reliable software delivery throughIaC,containerization, andCI/CD.This position supports high system performance and availability, with a focus onautomation,resilience, andcontinuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure as Code (IaC):Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure primarily using Terraform (or equivalent) in GCP and Azure environments.Containerization & Orchestration:Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized workloads using Kubernetes (GKE) and Docker.CI/CD Pipelines:Build, maintain, and enhance Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines (e.g., using ArgoCD, GitLab CI, or similar) to automate software deployment and integration.Platform Optimization & Observability:Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to ensure platform performance, reliability, and provide actionable insights.System Reliability & Scalability:Contribute to ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability of core platform services.Collaboration & Support:Work closely with development teams to understand their infrastructure needs, provide self-service capabilities, and troubleshoot platform-related issues.Automation:Identify opportunities for and implement automation of operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.Documentation:Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for platform architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.Skills & RequirementsTechnical Skills (Required):3+ years of hands-on experience in a Platform Engineering, DevOps, or similar role.Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, especially Terraform.Proficiency in managing containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (experience with GKE is a plus).Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).Practical experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP or Azure).Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).Strong understanding of Linux operating systems.Preferred Skills (Highly Valued):Experience with multiple cloud providers (GCP and Azure).Familiarity with Entra ID and core Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts.Knowledge of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, routing).Cybersecurity Skills (A Strong Plus):Understanding of basic cloud security principles and best practices.Familiarity with container security concepts (e.g., image scanning).Awareness of secure coding practices and common web application vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10).Basic understanding of security monitoring and logging.Experience deploying and utilizing Microsoft Purview (DLP).Any experience with endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, Jamf) from a platform perspective (e.g., ensuring platform compatibility).Experience & QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and analytical approach.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively within a team and with other departments.A proactive mindset, with a desire to learn new technologies and continuously improve processes.Fluent in English and Italian.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionInformation TechnologyReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Alpian Bank by 2x.#J-*****-Ljbffr
