Transport Team Lead

This role coordinates day-to-day activities of the transport planning team to ensure smooth, cost-effective, and timely movement of goods across the European FMCG network.Acts as the first point of contact for operational escalations and ensures alignment with internal and external stakeholders.Role and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the daily workload and priorities of the transport planning team.Monitor transport execution and act as the escalation point for critical delivery issues.Support the onboarding and performance management of transport carriers and 3PLs.Track key logistics KPIs and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company logistics policies.Facilitate collaboration between transport planners, warehouses, customer service, and supply planning.Drive standardization and continuous improvement in transport processes.Support system updates, documentation, and training within the transport team.Functional SkillsExperience in FMCG sectorTransport Management Systems (TMS), e.g., SAP TM, OracleExcel and transport tracking toolsProfessional proficiency in English,Italian is a plusSolid knowledge of European transportation practices and logistics processes.Able to manage priorities and resolve issues quickly and effectivelyBachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or relevant field.Experience working in a regional logistics teamExperience leading or supporting teams in an operational environment.Seniority levelAssociateEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionSupply ChainIndustriesFood and Beverage Manufacturing#J-*****-Ljbffr
