Morgan Advanced Materialsis a world leader in advanced materials science and engineering of ceramics, carbon, and composites.We operate in a series of well-defined markets where our applications expertise offers our customers a valuable differentiator, engineering high-specification materials, components, and sub-assembly parts that solve their challenging technical problems.The Thermal Ceramics division designs, manufactures, and installs a broad range of thermal insulation products that significantly reduce energy consumption and emissions in various high-temperature processing applications.Our product offering is extensive and covers application needs from industrial to commercial markets.Group Key Figures: Revenue £950m *****), approximately 7,500 employees, manufacturing in over 30 countries, serving customers in more than 100 countries.A UK PLC with head office in Windsor, Berkshire UK.Listed on the London Stock Exchange and a member of the FTSE 250 Index.Summary of RoleThe Production Manager is responsible for leading and managing the daily production activities of the plant in a safe environment.This includes accountability for delivering products on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.The role also involves providing leadership, guidance, performance management, and coaching to the supervisory management team to enhance their capabilities and productivity.Key priorities include advancing lean manufacturing principles and safety standards.ResponsibilitiesProduction ManagementLead overall production activities to meet customer requirements.Support the Site Management Team (SMT) in developing strategic action plans to establish production as a reference within the industry.Optimize resources (staff, equipment, scheduling, processes) to ensure timely delivery of quality products at or below planned costs while maintaining inventory targets.Propose and pilot new projects for process improvements and lean manufacturing initiatives.Prepare reports on KPIs.People ManagementLead by example to foster safety behaviors and production efficiency through management and lean methodologies.Develop team competencies and skills.Create a motivated and engaged work environment to achieve production goals efficiently.Maintain positive employee relations and social climate.Manage relations with the Works Council in collaboration with the Human Resources Manager.Collaborate with supervisors and lead their teams.Environmental, Safety, Risk & ComplianceCommit to the Group's ethics and compliance program, ensuring adherence to core values, policies, training, and risk assessments.Essential Qualifications and ExperienceHigh school diploma accepted with strong relevant experience; technical background preferred.Previous experience in a production or managerial role.Proficiency in English; experience in labor relations is a plus.Hands-on, tenacious, team-builder, and relationship-oriented soft skills.Problem-solving attitude.Experience in lean manufacturing.Morgan Advanced Materials is an equal opportunity employer (EEO/AA/M/W/D/V).#J-*****-Ljbffr
