We strive to Make the Place – creating a future where people and place enrich one another.Rosewood Rome is currently casting for a Director of Events, responsible for leading the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of all events hosted by the hotel, under the supervision of the Director of Sales & Marketing. This role ensures the seamless delivery of high-quality guest experiences, from corporate conferences and weddings to social galas and brand activations. The Director will eventually manage a team of event professionals, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and maintain strong client relationships to uphold Rosewood standards of excellence.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning & Leadership:Develop and implement the annual events strategy aligned with Rosewood Rome business goals and hotel positioning;Lead, mentor, and manage the events team to ensure high performance and professional growth;Forecast and manage the events budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI.Oversee the planning and execution of all events, ensuring exceptional service and attention to detail;Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., F&B, IT, Housekeeping, Front Office) and external vendors;Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Event Planning, Marketing, or related field;Minimum 7/10 years of experience in event mgmt, with at least 3 years in a leadership role;Proven track record of managing large-scale events (100+ attendees);Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills;Proficiency in event management software and CRM tools;Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.Preferred Attributes:Experience in luxury hospitality or high-end corporate events;Multilingual capabilities.
