Fortil is an engineering company founded in ****.We support our partners in the success of their technical projects in various fields such as Industry, IT or Healthcare.Today we are more than 2,700 employees spread over 13 countries.Working with us means working in an ambitious team, within a multicultural and international contextOur ambition is to contribute to building a more responsible, communal and inclusive world for our employees and clients.Senior Hardware Engineer – Automotive & Industrial PCBA The Senior Hardware Engineer will design and develop PCBA solutions for automotive oil pumps and industrial motor control systems.The ideal candidate will take technical ownership of electronic hardware platforms, from architecture, schematic design and PCB layout to debugging for EMC and electrical compliance, while collaborating closely with firmware, validation, and mechanical teams.This role focuses on platform-level thinking, modular hardware development, and strong emphasis on documentation and regulatory compliance for high-reliability applications in automotive and industrial domains.Electronic Architecture & Modular DesignOwn the platform electronic architecture for the product generation.Decompose the overall system into electronic modules, defining modular design architecture for reusability.Create and maintain the electronic engineering module catalogue and configure modules for different projects.Evaluate the maturity and reusability of hardware modules.Contribute to electronic requirement reviews, assessing feasibility and proposing optimizations or deviations when needed.Define internal component-level requirements and derive interface specifications.Lead and contribute to decisions on the creation of new modules or module variants.Design & DevelopmentDesign, simulate, and develop PCBAs for oil pump controllers and industrial motor drives.Collaborate with suppliers on the development and simulation activities.Perform worst-case analysis, hardware calculation reports, and define electrical protections.Create and review all necessary hardware design outputs.Validation & DebugDebug and resolve issues related to EMC, signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal performance.Conduct and support hardware integration testing and generate Hardware Integration Test Reports.Collaborate with supplier team for realization of AOI, FCT, and ICT validation.Provide support for DFMEA and risk assessments for design robustness.Cross-functional CollaborationWork closely with firmware developers, mechanical engineers, and testing teams to ensure system compatibility and integration.Participate in project reviews, gate reviews, and design for manufacturing (DFM) activities.Support design reviews and audits for ASPICE, ISO *****, and other relevant automotive standards.Required QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 5–8 years of experience in hardware design for automotive or industrial applications.Proven experience in designing and debugging motor control PCBs and automotive electronic control units (ECUs).Strong understanding of EMC / EMI design principles and compliance testing.Proficiency in tools such as Cadence OrCAD Tool chain, CAM 350 or equivalent.Familiar with industry standards: AEC-Q100, IPC standards, etc.Familiar with FMEA, Worst-Case Analysis (WCA), thermal and electrical simulation tools.Strong time management and collaboration skills.Experience in automotive sector.Hands-on experience with DC-DC converters, gate drivers, current sensing, and sensor integration.Exposure to Model-Based Design, Simulink, or MATLAB for system-level modelling.Understanding of CAN, LIN, or other automotive communication protocols.Soft skills: critical thinking, attention to detail, and interpersonal communication.Familiar with ISO *****.Next StepsSomeone from the Talent Acquisition department will contact you to schedule an initial HR interview.If successful, a second interview will be conducted to validate your technical knowledge.If the technical interview is positive, there will be a final qualification meeting with the Client.If the final outcome is positive, we will discuss our proposal with you.If not, we will share sincere feedback.Why Fortil?Although we are in a significant phase of expansion, the high standards of our projects and recruitments remain demanding.Quality will always take precedence over quantity, as we prefer excellence to ease.We aim to become the largest independent engineering group in Europe, serving future generations.Our operational model rests on four fundamentals:Profitable performanceExpert engineersEfficient organisationSocial responsibilityApply and join us to become part of a model that is out of the ordinary#J-*****-Ljbffr
