Boldrocchi is a globally recognized engineering, manufacturing, and service company with over 100 years of experience.We offer an extensive portfolio of integrated solutions tailored to the heavy industry and power generation sectors, including fans, blowers, and compressors, air pollution control and environmental solutions, heat exchangers and coolers, gas turbine systems, noise protection, and dampers for heavy-duty processes, among other specialized equipment.We understand that each client has unique needs, goals, and constraints.That's why we customize each of our solutions, continuously finding innovative ways to help you achieve your objectives efficiently.Our top priorities are quality and customer satisfaction, and we strive to demonstrate this commitment through every phase of our work—engineering, manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning, and service.With a strong focus on innovation and client satisfaction, we take pride in our dynamic and collaborative work culture.About the Role:The selected candidate will join the Technical Department and will be involved in the mechanical design and development of systems and equipment for flue gas treatment plants serving the steel, cement, and waste-to-energy sectors.The role requires autonomous management of design and modeling activities — from the preliminary phase to the executive project — ensuring full compliance with contractual technical specifications and company standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and interpret contractual technical specifications and customer requirements.Develop basic and detailed engineering for the plant or specific components.Perform 3 D modeling using Autodesk Inventor and produce 2 D drawings in Auto CAD.Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and verify weight budgets.Coordinate technical activities with internal departments (Project Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Purchasing, Workshop, Site Team).Manage technical interfaces with external engineering firms, suppliers, and customers.Conduct site visits for surveys, measurements, and data collection.Participate in technical and project coordination meetings.Check and validate technical deliverables produced by collaborators or external consultants.Support workshop and site teams in resolving technical issues.Manage technical documentation flows in accordance with company procedures and contractual requirements.RequirementsTechnical diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.Previous experience in plant engineering/flue gas treatment systems (steel, cement, waste-to-energy).Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (3 D modeling) and Auto CAD (2 D drafting).Good knowledge of English (minimum: basic/intermediate level).Strong ability to read and interpret structural and piping drawings.Basic ability to interpret P& ID diagrams.Availability for short business trips in Italy and abroad.Preferred QualificationsExperience with complex plants, end users, or EPC companies.Familiarity with relevant standards: EN ****, EN ISO *****, EN ISO *****, EN ISO ****, EN *****.Basic knowledge of PLM/PDM systems for technical document management.How to Apply:If you're ready to take on this rewarding role, please send your updated resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience to Kindly include " Mechanical Designer – Flue Gas Treatment Systems (Your Name)" in the subject line.Benefits:At Boldrocchi Group, we value our employees and offer a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth and development.Join our passionate team and make a significant impact by managing projects that shape our success in world-class engineering and manufacturing.We look forward to receiving your application.We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome diversity within our workforce.
