Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers and society.Together, we're pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources.Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping.As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth.So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.About the jobAlfa Laval is looking for a Digitalization and Process Control Engineer to join the Process Engineering Team in Monza (Italy).The team is part of a R&D Team with global responsibility on products and solutions developed for marine separation and fuel supply system portfolio.The role of the Digitalization and Process Control Engineer is essential in bridging process design for product development with enhanced control strategies, enabling innovation and reliable performance.You'll work in a team of researchers and engineers to transform novel concepts into controlled and repeatable processes that will be the basis for the development of next-generation products and technologies in the decarbonization of the maritime industry.Main tasks and responsibilitiesBe the key account person in understanding process needs and translate into input for Automation Development DepartmentDesign, develop, and optimize control strategies for new products released on the marketDesign, develop, and optimize control strategies for experimental and pilot-scale processesImplement advanced control systems on prototypes and on products(preparation of I/O List, Alarm List, C/E Diagrams, Functional Requirement Specification)Monitor and fine-tune control loops to ensure stability, safety, and performance of novel setupsIntegrate sensors, actuators, and data acquisition systems for real-time process monitoringEvaluate new control technologies and recommend integration into R&D platformsSupport and promote the digitalization roadmapDevelopment of simulation environment and digital twin solutionAssist to relevant tests and fine-tuning sessions, in situ or from remote, when necessaryWho you arePassionate for innovationAnalytical, structured and proactiveAble to work with flexible and agile approachProblem solver with good ability to quickly find the root of the problem.Scrupulous with high integrityGood communicator in speech and writing.Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teamsWhat you knowBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Automation, Process, or related)At least 3 years of experience in process control engineeringStrong aptitude for problem-solving in experimental conditions and non-standardized workflowsProficiency in control system design and tuning (PLC, MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, MS Visio)Knowledge of instrumentation, data acquisition, and system modeling techniquesKnowledge of process engineering documentation and toolsFluent English#J-*****-Ljbffr
