A leading global financial services firm, recognised for its next-generation multi-channel trading platforms, is partnering with GRS to recruit a Head of Compliance for their rapidly growing Nicosia operation.The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience in a similar role and hold the relevant CySEC certifications.If you have the necessary skills and experience, this Nicosia-based Head of Compliance position offers an excellent opportunity to join a company that values its people as its greatest asset and provides a platform for professional growth and career progression.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESHaving overall responsibility for the company's Compliance function.Maintaining excellent understanding of the relevant regulatory requirements and providing guidance and advice to management and other colleagues.Developing, maintaining, and updating compliance and AML manuals, policies, procedures, and controls.Developing and implementing a risk-based compliance monitoring program.Updating and implementing ongoing monitoring procedures for Corporate Authorised Representative, distributors or affiliate arrangements and reviewing the Company's marketing material and affiliates on an ongoing basis.Conducting reviews/audits of departments, key business and other processes and activities to ensure the continued adherence to and effective implementation of policies, procedures, and regulations.Identifying, examining, and reporting suspicious activities related to money laundering and terrorist financing.Taking corrective action in case compliance violations are observed.Having responsibility for the compliance risk assessment process, ensuring that all compliance risks are appropriately identified, assessed, reported, and monitored.Acting as the designated Compliance and AML Officer for CYSEC.Handling all regulatory communication and acting as the contact person with CYSEC.Preparing and submitting periodic and ad hoc reports to CYSEC and the Board of Directors.Leading, managing, and developing the company's Compliance team.Promoting and enhancing a strong company-wide compliance culture.Delivering internal trainings on compliance-related matters, including internal policies and procedures, the application of guidelines, standards and relevant regulatory requirements.CANDIDATE PROFILEBachelor's degree in Law, Finance or other related field.Holder of the Advanced and AML CYSEC Certifications.At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.Excellent knowledge of English, both verbal and written.Computer literacy.Dynamic, hands-on and results driven.Commercial orientation and awareness.Practical approach in understanding and applying regulatory requirements.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Self-motivated with an ability to work autonomously.Team player.Due to the high volume of applications we receive at GRS Recruitment only shortlisted candidates will be responded to.#J-*****-Ljbffr
