We are Cortilia anItalian B Corp-certified food technology companycommitted to revolutionizing our relationship with food.Our mission is straightforward: to provide high-quality daily groceries by connecting conscious customers with exceptional products through innovative technology, data analytics, and extensive local expertise.We are looking for aData Engineerwith stronganalytics expertiseto bridge the gap between data infrastructure and business insights.You will design and maintain robust data foundations, enabling analysts and business teams to self-serve high-quality, reliable data.Beyond building pipelines, you will help shape how data is modeled, governed, and communicated across the organization.Your Main Responsibilities Will BeDesign, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark, AWS Glue, and Delta Lake;Leverage AWS services (Athena, S3, Glue Catalog, etc.) to ensure performant, reliable, and secure data solutions;Develop and optimize data models that power reporting and analytics layers, making them accessible and usable for analysts;Ensuredata quality, governance, and documentation across the stack;Work closely with the Data & Analytics Lead to translate business requirements into robust data solutions;Contribute to the strategic vision of how data is collected, modeled, and consumed across the company;Oversee SQL transformations and table refreshes, ensuring changes are versioned, tested and deployed with minimal impact on downstream consumers;Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform, ensuring reproducible and maintainable data infrastructure;Manage and version-control data projects following GitFlow best practices.RequirementsStrong passion for a data-driven culture;Curious about the company's data model and able to explore relationships to support better decision-making;2+ years experience with SQL and ETL processes;Hands-on experience with AWS Glue, Athena, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, and Delta Lake;Python knowledge (PySpark is a plus);Experience in designing data architectures, both batch and streaming;Familiarity with agile workflows and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Git);BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;Ability to identify gaps and suggest improvements.BenefitsCompany welfare planSmart Working some days per weekMeal vouchers, even for days when you work from homeDiscount on Cortilia.itAccess to an online technical training platform for continuous skill developmentFresh fruit, coffee and lots of excellent products to enjoy together in the officePsychological and nutritional support with specialised partnersParenting support with specialised partnersInclusive, dynamic working environment that promotes equal opportunitiesCortilia S.p.A.
