What We DoWe help public and private companies re-design their business models through the development of innovative and sustainable solutions that positively impact both our customers and the world, using circular economy models enabled by technological innovation.What you will findFlexibility, thanks to our policy you can work remotely in Italy, up to 5 days a week, and in SEE and Switzerland up to 5 months a year;Training & development– participate in on-the-job training, certifications, foreign language classes and receive a yearly budget for training courses;Gender equality & inclusion– Avvale's Pdr 125 certification demonstrates our commitment to an inclusive and fair work environment.Role and responsibilitiesWe are looking for aSystem Engineerwith an IT background who will monitor, maintain and support VMWare hyper-converged infrastructures.As a System Engineer you will work on complex projects for customers, architecting, building, operating and migrating infrastructures with teams based in Milan and Turin.Monitor, maintain and support existing VMWare hyper-converged infrastructure, ensuring timely resolution of host, storage and virtual machine issues.Manage infrastructure incidents and change requests opened by the customer.Manage VMware vSphere, vCenter and other VMware technologies in a production environment.Ensure optimal performance and scalability of VMware solutions through capacity planning and resource allocation.Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure VMware environments are well integrated with other systems and networks.Apply security patches and updates to Nutanix products, VMware and virtual machines to maintain system security and compliance.Create and maintain documentation of system configurations, standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides.Minimum of 2 years of practical experience with VMware technologies.Competence in standards and backup technologies (preferably Veeam).Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix or similar.Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to set priorities and manage diverse workloads.Excellent knowledge of English.Nice to haveKnowledge of Kubernetes containerization technologies;Certification on VMware;Additional IT certifications (e.g., AWS and Azure);Previous experience in consultancy.Come with usYou will have the opportunity to work and get in touch with international players who will enhance your know-how in preparation for future challenges.We do not consider applications without CV.Avvale promotes equal opportunity.We enhance diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment in compliance with applicable non-discrimination and data protection laws.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering, Information Technology, and ConsultingIndustriesIT Services and IT Consulting#J-*****-Ljbffr
