ResponsibilitiesCan apply a deep understanding of a broad range of tools, equipment, and handling machinery to accomplish your daily tasks effectively and efficientlyUpholds all safety requirements in all zones and work locations of responsibilityAssists in the development of new and junior team members and adheres to standards and proceduresIndependently execute and prioritize work to meet production schedulesIntegration and test of the Kuiper satellite and various complex sub-assemblies in a clean-room and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controlled environmentRigging and critical lifts of bulky, sensitive flight hardwareAble to obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits, and/or certifications as requiredUse precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, multi-meters, optical inspection devices, micrometers and calipersRead and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentationPerform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructionsRun functional and environmental testing on units, including some basic troubleshooting operationsUse computer software programs for controlling testsCheck and inspect your work after completion to ensure engineering and quality standards are met per the drawing and work instruction requirementsCollaborate with manufacturing engineers to develop and document activities, including continuous improvement opportunitiesPerform other duties, as assigned, to ensure an efficient, safe and effective work environmentWilling to work overtime and weekends as requiredShift schedule will vary, depending on production/launch schedulesMust be willing and able to perform extended travel up to 25% annually, either domestically or internationally as business needs demandA Day in the LifeThe Processing Technician will lead work to ensure junior technicians complete tasks and ensure procedures are adhered to and work is completed during quality and operations on flight hardware integration processes.This position requires skill and experience in a variety of areas, including mechanical assembly, propellant loading, rigging, electrical checkouts and satellite troubleshooting.In short, you will be responsible for a majority of the most critical tasks to process & integrate the Kuiper satellite for launch, ensuring high quality, workmanship and safety standards are adhered to on a Control and PreventionAbility to pass Kennedy Space Center background checksPreferred QualificationsExperience in a fast paced, dynamic organizationExperience in a fast-paced, high-tech company, or experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaroundAbility to work effectively in a team environmentExperience in aerospace, automotive, medical device, aviation, military or other high-reliability operating environmentsExperience working with Foreign Object Debris (FOD), ESD sensitive hardware, and in a clean roomExperience with forklifts, cranes, rigging, and heavy equipment (including previous certifications)A demonstrated ability in reading/understanding technical drawings, work instructions and standard operating proceduresAbility to use multiple types of precision measuring instrumentsAble to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive assembly operationsAble to climb ladders, work in tight spaces, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this positionAble to lift at least 25 for this position ranges from $71,760/year in our lowest geographic market up to $80,080/year in our highest geographic market.Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may
