About D-Orbit Are you ready to take your career to new heights?At D-Orbit, we're pioneering the future of space logistics and transportation.Established in ****, our company has been at the forefront of helping businesses unlock the full potential of the final frontier—profitably and sustainably.As a member of our team, you'll work alongside a diverse group of highly skilled individuals driven by a passion for innovation and excellence.If you are passionate about space and ready to take ambition to new heights, join us in our global mission to push the boundaries of what's possiblePosition OverviewD-Orbit is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for the Operational Excellence area, providing specific expertise to the Business Units.The Supplier Quality Engineer will develop, implement and maintain processes to assure the required quality level of the supply chain, support the definition of KPI related to supplier quality, and assist in developing and maintaining quality assurance processes to enhance the reliability and consistency of our supply chain.Key Responsibilities & TasksMonitor supplier performance to ensure quality standards are met.Perform surveillance audits of suppliers.Support qualification activities of new suppliers.Perform periodic reviews of supplier performance.Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues.Manage non-conformities and requests for deviation/waiver.Collaborate with project teams to ensure proper flow-down of requirements throughout the supply chain.Monitor and report on supplier quality to ensure compliance with applicable requirements; this includes auditing activities.Support the establishment and implementation of standards and best practices in product and quality assurance.Contribute to continuous improvement in the supplier quality domain.RequirementsExperience working on production processes in the space or aeronautic industry or alternative high-tech and complex industries.Knowledge and field experience of production processes (e.g., electronic board assembly, PCB manufacturing, sub-system production, 3D printing, machining, composites).Experience with EN **** standard.Auditor (part I and II) certified according to UNI EN ****.Bachelor or higher engineering degree in electronic, aerospace, mechanical/materials engineering or related area.SkillsAbility to set audit plans and execute them.Proven diplomatic ability developed through relationships with suppliers and certification authorities.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proactive attitude.Open to travel (about 20%).Capability of working autonomously as well as in team.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Full professional proficiency in English; fluency in Italian is mandatory.Hiring ProcessApplication review: We review applications and reach out only to candidates who closely match our requirements.First chat: Selected candidates have an initial meeting with the people team to discuss expectations and motivations.Technical interviews: One or two technical interviews focused on skills and approach.Offer: If all goes well, we send an offer.Legal StatementsWe are an equal opportunity employer.Candidates of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.If you have any questions, please reach out to us.Extra-UE ApplicantsThis role requires a legal right to work in Italy.Applicants must already have the legal right to work in Italy.Some activities may be performed remotely; some are location-independent.Diversity & InclusionAt D-Orbit, diversity and inclusivity are integral to our mission.We celebrate the unique backgrounds and perspectives of all individuals.#J-*****-Ljbffr
