Cavotec is a leading engineering company with 50 years of heritage in innovation, designing and delivering advanced connection and electrification solutions that drive the decarbonisation of ports and industrial applications.With five decades of experience, our systems ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable operations for a diverse range of customers and applications worldwide.Summary:A Proposal Engineer is responsible for preparing, coordinating, and submitting technical and commercial proposals that meet client requirements and company standards.The role bridges technical expertise with business development, ensuring proposals are accurate, competitive, and aligned with organizational goals.The Role:• Support our teams and customers throughout the entire cycle of a project with in-depthproduct & application knowledge• Technical sales support from customer enquiry to quotation, during the order acquisitionprocess, handover to fulfilment and follow up till final delivery, customer acceptance andhandover to servicesProvide technical expertise to customers and sales teamAssessing and consolidating customer requirementsConfiguration and selection of assigned product groups based on application dataCosting and lead-time estimation of assigned product groupsProvide iterative support to sales team during tender phaseComprehensive orders hand-over to CoE functionsProvide iterative support to sales team and CoE functions during order processing phaseBackup support on non-assigned product groups or areasSupport to supplier selectionSupport for customer acceptance (FAT, SAT, O&M Manual)Support to Service handover, claims and spare partsRequirements:• High school degree required – Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineeringor another related field is strongly desired• 2+ years as Technical Sales Engineer, proposal engineer, application engineer or similar, inB2B marketTools: Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Salesforce, OfficeElectrical or mechanical engineering backgroundItalian written and spoken is a plusUnderstanding of order management processKnowledge on B2B commerceFluent English written and spokenLocation: Nova Milanese (MB).Candidates not in line with the requirements will not be considered.Please attach your updated CV in English to your application.
