coordinate research activities under ongoing projects such as Data Must Speak (DMS), Women in Learning Leadership (WiLL), and Teachers for All, while contributing to the design and development of new initiatives.The role involves conducting research using mixed methods with a strong emphasis on quantitative approaches to generate nuanced insights into education systems, policies, practices, and outcomes.The incumbent will provide guidance to UNICEF Country Offices undertaking education research, ensuring coherence with UNICEF's global priorities and those of Uniciti.In close collaboration with partners, the Research Specialist will work to strengthen evidence generation, foster innovation, and enhance the influence of applied research on education policy and practice.For more University Degree) in Education, Economics (Social Sciences), Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Data Science or any related field.Work Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in Education, Development, Research, Quantitative Analysis, Evidence Generation, Policy Dialogue or Project Management.Skills:Ability to design, conduct and analyse studies to support new education research initiatives.Proficiency in advanced quantitative data science methods and tools such as R, Python and/or Stata.Ability to plan, organise and manage research projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.Language Requirements: Fluency in English and proficient level in French.DesirablesKnowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) or a local language.Experience with geospatial data analysis (e.g., GIS) and version control platforms such as GitHub.Proven record of producing and disseminating high-quality research outputs, policy briefs and publications.Ability to build strategic partnerships with academic institutions, research networks and development actors.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Experience working
