Physician – General Medical Officer

OverviewContingent upon Contract Award.The Physician will provide a comprehensive range of medical care to US government employees and contractors in Israel.The physician is responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare to patients including the diagnosis treatment and prevention of illnesses and injuries.They collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and maintain accurate medical records.Care will primarily be provided in clinics.Clinics are responsible for a variety of on-site primary urgent and initial emergency care services.Key ResponsibilitiesProvides primary care but not limited to GYN dermatology ENT pulmonary neurological cardiovascular ophthalmology orthopedics psychology and gastroenterology.Collaborate with on-site physicians APPs and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.Participate in the assessment and stabilization of patients requiring urgent or emergent care.Lead and oversee medical staff at a DOS/DOS clinic: Clinic services include but are not limited to health promotion and disease prevention health maintenance counselling and patient education diagnosis and directed physical exams emergent and annual vaccinations comprehensive STD testing.Manage simple chronic conditions through intermittent monitoring.Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.Maintain compliance with all project site procedures standards and continuing educational and mandatory training requirements.Limited chronic care which shall be limited to preexisting diagnosed and treated chronic conditions.Coordinate with medical evacuation teams for patients requiring care beyond the capabilities of the clinic.Participate in MASCAL exercises.Completes required organizational compliance education including assigned requirements that are client-specified for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.This list is non-exhaustive and the role holder may be required to undertake additional duties that are not specifically listed above.QualificationsBasic Requirements/CertificationsBoard-Certified in Emergency Medicine/Family Medicine/Internal Medicine or approved equivalent.Full unrestricted U.S. Licensure required in a State Territory or Commonwealth (i.e. Puerto Rico) of the United States, the District of Columbia or country of record equivalent to provide medical care within scope of practice.Current Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or equivalent.Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).Minimum 5 years recent experience including 6 months within the last year.Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.Education RequiredMD or DO is required.This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association;
