We are looking for a passionate Freelance - AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy cutting-edge AI and Generative AI solutions that solve real business challenges.This role sits at the intersection of research and production, with strong exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs), multimodal AI, and modern MLOps practices.What You'll Do in this Role:- Design, develop, and deploy AI solutions for complex, real-world business problems- Fine-tune and optimize pre-trained LLMs for domain-specific use cases- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for model training and inference- Implement, test, and monitor model deployment strategies in production environments- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify high-impact AI use cases- Evaluate model performance and continuously improve accuracy, efficiency, and reliability- Stay up-to-date with the latest AI research and industry advancementsWhat We're Looking For:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field- 3+ years of experience developing and deploying AI solutions- Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow- Practical experience with Transformer architectures and LLMs (e.g. LLaMA, Mistral, Falcon)- Knowledge of model optimization techniques (quantization, pruning, distillation)- Familiarity with MLOps workflows and model deployment pipelines- Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ownership attitudeNice to Have:- Master's degree in AI, Machine Learning, or related field- Experience with Vision-Language Models (VLMs) and multimodal systems- Hands-on experience with embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search- Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar LLM orchestration frameworks- Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes- Experience with cloud ML platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)- Background in industrial or production environmentsWhy Join Us Guys:- Work on state-of-the-art AI & Generative AI systems- Balance research depth with real-world impact- Collaborate with talented engineers, researchers, and product teams- Build AI solutions that actually ship and scaleApply or reach out directly, we'd love to talkEmployment contract: €25,000 – €33,000 gross annual salaryFreelance (Partita IVA): up to €35,000 per year
