OverviewProcess R&D Engineer, 2D MaterialsLocation: Pisa, ItalyWe are seeking a highly skilled Process R&D Engineer to develop new technologies that enable the integration of 2D materials into industry-leading photonic fabrication processes.As an experienced scientist and research engineer, you will have strong expertise in polymer preparation optimization, particularly for applications involving the integration of 2D materials.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and optimize polymer preparation processes for the integration of 2D materials in photonic applicationsInvestigate and improve material interfaces, focusing on the interactions of 2D materials after the transfer processApply advanced chemical methodologies to enhance the growth and stability of graphene for high-performance applicationsConduct in-depth analysis and characterization of materials to drive continuous improvement in process efficiency and reliabilityStay at the forefront of scientific advancements in graphene and 2D materials, integrating best practices into our research and new process developmentCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes within our overall graphene-integrated-photonics process flowQualificationsMaster's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related fieldStrong expertise in polymeric materials and their role in the preparation and integration of 2D materials for photonic applicationsExperience in working with 2D materials, including their synthesis, characterization, and integration in various applicationsKnowledge of CVD growth for graphene synthesisHands-on experience with characterization techniques such as Raman spectroscopy, SEM, TEM, AFM, and XPSFamiliarity with cleanroom environments and nanofabrication techniquesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven, detail-oriented approachExcellent English verbal and written communication skillsExperience working, communicating, and collaborating in a cross-functional teamAn ability to adapt to a fast-moving start-up environment, striving for innovation and excellence in everything you doEligibility to work in Italy#J-*****-Ljbffr
