Resident Mechanical & Control Field Service Engineer – Steam Turbines, Gas Turbines, Centrifugal CompressorsAre you a Field Service Engineer looking for an interesting and inspiring opportunity?Do you enjoy being part of a successful team?Join our Field Service team.Our Industry & Energy Technology (IET) team provides industry-leading products and services that optimize the extraction, production, and processing of energy.We help a diverse range of customers across the value chain to reduce operating costs and improve productivity.Our team plays an integral role by helping the business plan for the future.As a diverse and inclusive workplace, Baker Hughes IET values the unique perspectives and backgrounds of its employees.In this role, you will have the opportunity to bring your individual experiences and insights, contributing to a rich tapestry of ideas and fostering a culture of inclusivity.Your diverse perspective will enhance the overall effectiveness and success of the projects and initiatives you lead, making a positive impact on Baker Hughes IET and its stakeholders.Partner with the best.As Resident Mechanical & Control Field Service Engineer (ST, GT, CC), you will be the first point of contact for our global customers on-site.You will be responsible for leading activities, people and HSE compliance to a high standard.You will enjoy opportunities to develop your product knowledge and technical skills in a dynamic, innovative environment.ResponsibilitiesProviding technical direction for site activities to internal teams and skilled labor to ensure safety, compliance, and quality.Overseeing overhaul, troubleshooting and commissioning of products at customer sites.Leading in customer and contractor meetings to share and update action plans and to advise on technical solutions.Ensuring internal training, compliance and quality documentation is updated, followed, and completed according to company standards.QualificationsDemonstrate a good working knowledge of the installation and maintenance of rotating equipment.Have experience working in a mechanical and/or control role in an energy or oil and gas environment (or similar).Display an impressive customer service orientation mindset and experience leading customers through tough decisions.Be skilled at communicating complex technical information to customers and teams with varying levels of technical understanding.Have a deep awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and potential risks.Be a motivated self-starter and be able to make key decisions and innovate solutions.Have excellent command and understanding of verbal and written English.Have an EU passport or a European work permit.Be flexible to guarantee long term support at Customer site (minimum 6 months shift).BenefitsIn this role, you will travel to and work on customer sites in line with customer requirements.The duration of the work at site and the hours of work at the site will be in line with customer requirements.In between work assignments, you will have free time in line with Baker Hughes working time guidelines and fatigue management provisions.Location: Florence, Italy Metropolitan AreaRBaker Hughes Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by law.#J-*****-Ljbffr
