Shopbop is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual for a role that combines fashion-based data entry with writing unique details to describe key product information in customer-facing descriptions that are featured on both Amazon Marketplace and Shopbop.com product pages.An interest in fashion is a must, and familiarity with textiles, fabrics names, and clothing construction is necessary for the successful candidate.The role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to concisely and accurately convey product details to the customer—so writing skills are a plusCatalog specialists are also responsible for prepping product for downstream workflows, capturing measurements, documenting FTC / FDA requirements to ensure compliance and mitigating issues / missing information through problem solving and contacting vendors.Key Job ResponsibilitiesCapture and record measurements and data for a variety of products accurately and efficientlyUtilize and interpret vendor provided specifications to convey necessary informationDetermine and record fabric type and key unique details of product while leveraging SEO best practices / SOPsAssign HTS Classification using internal and external programsPhysically and systematically prep and move product through workflows which includes using a pallet jack or carts to move productSelf-manage workload to meet or exceed daily quotas with impeccable accuracyAssist in other areas and cross train on other teams as needed, including inventory or studio teamsAssist in miscellaneous projects as needed, including auditing processes and excel reportingBasic QualificationsExperience with Microsoft Office products and applications3 years of ecomm experienceKnowledge of fashion, clothing construction, and fabric typesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong reading and writing skills with an emphasis on spelling and grammarAbility to read small print quickly and accuratelyAble to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment as well as on a teamExceptional time management, problem solving, and multitasking skillsAbility to lift and carry up to 40 pounds40-hour work week with flexibility to work overtimePreferred QualificationsPrior experience in a Catalog role or writing product descriptionsStrong awareness of brands we carryPrevious experience in a photo studio, or other fashion-based operations environmentBachelors DegreeAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, including support for the interview or onboarding process, please visit for more information.If the country / region you're applying in isn't listed, please contact your Recruiting Partner.Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.The base pay for this position ranges from $32,900 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $70,300 / year in our highest geographic market.Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Amazon is a total compensation company.Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and or other benefits.For more information, please visit This position will remain posted until filled.Applicants should apply via our internal or external career site.J-*****-LjbffrCatalog Specialist I Shopbop • Rome, Italy#J-*****-Ljbffr
