Project Manager – Data Center Location: Milan or Rome, ItalyWe are looking for a Project Manager to lead the development, construction, and commissioning of electrical and utilities infrastructure for a new data centre in Italy. This role will also support business development and strategic initiatives related to project development.Key Responsibilities:Lead energy & utilities projects from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals.Coordinate with engineers, contractors, stakeholders, and utility providers for HV/MV infrastructure.Supervise the design and construction of substations and power lines, ensuring timely delivery within budget.Manage resources, budgets, schedules, and quality control processes.Track project progress, conduct regular meetings, and escalate issues as necessary.Negotiate contracts and bids with contractors, developers, and consultants.Support site due diligence activities and resolve factors impacting project handover.Review deliverables, raise queries, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Prepare progress reports to support decision-making and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Key Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Industrial, Energy Engineering, or a related field.Advanced knowledge of HV/MV electrical systems and Italian electricity regulations; experience in other European markets is a plus.3+ years' experience working with DSOs, TSO, suppliers, or utilities.Proven experience in planning, design, permitting, and construction of HV/MV substations and underground power lines.Familiarity with power line concessions, interconnection agreements, and utility operating models in Italy.Experience with data centre clients is an advantage.Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.Proactive, autonomous, flexible, and commercially astute.Fluent in Italian and English.If you're interested to lead complex, high-impact projects in Italy's energy and data centre sector, contributing to the country's infrastructure growth and innovation, apply today
