RINA is currently recruiting for aSoftware Application Engineerto join its office inTurinwithin theAerospace & DefenceDivision.MissionThe Software Application Engineer focuses on designing, developing, testing, and deploying software applications that align with our business needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX/UI designers, and software developers, to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers. The ideal candidate has a strong background in software development and a passion for building scalable, maintainable, and efficient applications.Key AccountabilitiesSoftware Development:- Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure software applications.- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to software development best practices.- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements and implementation plans.Testing and Deployment:- Write automated tests to ensure the quality of applications and enhance test coverage.- Debug the implemented application software- Support the V&V team during testing and validation activities for defect analysis- Analyze and solve detected problems implementing the needed correctionsDocumentation:- Document sw requirements, design decisions, APIs, and implementation details.- Maintain technical documentation and diagrams related to the software applications.Support and Maintenance:- technical support to customers and internal teams as needed.- Debug and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.Continuous Improvement:- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.- Identify and propose improvements to existing software applications and development processes.- Actively participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.Collaboration and Communication:- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software applications.- Communicate technical concepts and ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.#LI-FT1EducationBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information SystemsQualifications- Good experience as a Software Engineer or Software Application Engineer, with a track record of delivering high-quality software applications.- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as C/C++, Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.- Experience with desktop application development frameworks (e.g., MS Visual Studio, VS Code, Eclipse) and/or web application development frameworks(Spring, Django, React, Angular).- Familiarity with Graphic User Interfaces design and related development frameworls (e.g. Qt, NI LabWindows/ LabView).- Knowledge of requirements management and design tools (e.g. UML-based tools).- Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL databases).- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).- Understanding of software engineering life cycle and development best practices, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git).CompetenciesADDRESS THE WAY - Have a big picture of different situations and reinterpret it in a perspective wayCLIENT INTIMACY - Embrace internal and external client needs, expectations, and requirements to ensure maximum satisfactionBUILD NETWORK - Forge trust relationships, across departments, and outside the organizationEARN TRUST - Take everyone's opinion into account and remain open to diversityMAKE EFFECTIVE DECISIONS - Structure activities according to priorities, actions, resources and constraintMANAGE EMOTIONS - Recognise one's and other's emotions and express and regulate one's reactionsPIONEER CHANGE - Actively embrace change and benefit from the new circumstancesPROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - Promote commitment by keeping promises as a Role ModelTHINK FORWARD - Capitalise on experiences and translate them into action plans for the futureRINA is a multinational company providing a wide range of services in the energy, marine, certification, infrastructure & mobility, industry, research & development sectors.
