Company DescriptionFounded in Hanover, Germany, in ****, Continental develops cutting-edge technologies and services for the sustainable and connected mobility of people and their goods.Merlett Tecnoplastic SpA is a company of Continental, Group Sector ContiTech Industrial Solutions EMEA, located in Italy.It was acquired by Continental in **** and its core business is the production of thermoplastic hoses and tubes.Job DescriptionThe mission of the position is to plan, coordinate and control all ESH activities to meet budget and ESH targets (e.g., optimize fire prevention and environmental protection, maximize employee safety and health as well as plant security).The position initiates and implements action plans for continuous improvement of all ESH relevant processes.Coordinate all ESH activities for the plantAlign and transform group and BA ESH strategy into action plans and ensure implementationContribute to strategic and operative planning of the plant/operations unit (e.g., with respect to investments, capacity and headcount planning)Ensure the achievement of ESH targets according to internal and external customer expectationsInitiate and implement continuous improvement activities by applying CBS methods and training measuresLive and promote the ESH principles and methods (e.g., advise Plant Management on all ESH aspects)Initiate and control investments for ESH equipment (e.g., training materials, external trainings, etc.)Interface with segment, BU or BA functions to gather local ESH requirements and demands and other feedbackParticipate in and/or steer global or local ESH related and cross-functional projectsCoordinate safety inspection procedures for new plant installations prior to their start-upPlan and conduct environmental and safety audits and compliance measures according to standards (i.e., CT management system, SH Corporate)Implement external (e.g., ISO *****, ISO *****, ISO *****) and internal (e.g., ESH management manual, tools, KPIs) ESH standards and legal requirements and provide feedback and input for further development of standardsFollow up on legal regulations and evaluate possible impacts on processes and facilitiesEnsure that all legally required permits are applied for in due time and that permit conditions are evaluated and implemented and advise plant managementCheck compliance with legal and internal regulations/standards/processes and implement measures together with local authoritiesSet up and implement GEMBA walk and related with regards to safety issuesConduct risk analyses (i.e., GRC, environmental protection) and prepare concepts and emergency preparedness plansEnsure structured root cause analyses of incidents, define and implement sustainable measuresPlease upload your CV in English.QualificationsUniversity degree, preferably in engineering, natural sciences or related disciplineAlternatively high school diploma and proof of functional knowledge of occupational safety and environmental protection3 or more years in a leadership position, preferably in operational units with functional and disciplinary responsibility for other individualsKnowledge of Italian language and Italian EHS regulations is MANDATORYAdditional InformationReady to drive with Continental?Take the first step and fill in the online application.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionOtherIndustriesPlastics Manufacturing#J-*****-Ljbffr
