NEXTCHEM, a company of the MAIRE Group dedicated to Sustainable Technology Solutions, is seeking a dynamic and innovative Pressure Vessels & Heat Exchangers Engineer to join our team.The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of cutting-edge technologies aimed at advancing the energy transition agenda.If you are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the realm of sustainable technology, we encourage you to apply.Thanks to NEXTCHEM's extensive know-how of nitrogen, hydrogen, carbon capture, fuels, chemicals and polymers, you'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated driving innovation and sustainability in the energy transition sector .The candidate will become part of the NX Engineering District of Catania having the opportunity to work on innovative and novel technologies to fully enable the energy transition, click on the link for further information: NX engineering district | NextChemThe Recruitment process is managed by Key2People, a partner of NEXTCHEM.MissionResponsibility of the activities pertaining to the discipline within a project, in compliance with the technical project requirement, the assigned budget and the project schedule, assuring the cost optimization.Responsible to carry on all the activities relevant to the supply of a static or group of static equipment with a vendor from the request for quotation to the final delivery, in coordination with the Post Order and Inspection department.Key activities and responsibilitiesDuring the execution of a project, the duties are:Prepare and discuss with Project Team (Project Manager and/or Project Engineering Manager) and Engineering Head of Department the execution strategy of the project (including the project schedule) and assure its application throughout the entire project life.;Prepare Material Requisitions for Static Equipment, such as Reactors, Columns, Vessels, Tanks, Heat Exchangers, developing both mechanical calculation and 2D drawings, including Client and Company requirement inside the material requisition;Prepare Technical Evaluation and Tabulation of the vendor inquired and cooperate with Procurement Department in the definition of Bidder list and short list of vendor before tabulation;Review and keeping continuously updated the Statics Equipment Discipline procedures, guidelines and standards;Interact with Client representatives and Vendors for all the technical topics impacting on the project both in time and costs;Guarantee assistance to the inspection and construction departments upon request as per project needs.Provide feedback to Project Engineering Manager/ Head of Department concerning problems arising from application of standard methods and work instruction to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department;Conduct technical training as per department and Company needs and exchange experience with colleagues of the entire Group for new Design techniques;Keep him/herself up-to-date about the technical specific improvement of the discipline.CompetencesExperience specifically related to different types of static equipment for Petrochemical or Oleochemical applications (Pressure Vessels, S&T Heat Exchangers, Air Coolers, Filters, Columns, Plate Heat Exchangers, Reactors, Storage;Ability to review client specifications & standards, prepare customized equipment supply and design specifications, prepare equipment inquiry/purchase requisitions;Competence in preparing equipment mechanical data sheets by the use of 2D Cad software, design software & technical bid evaluations;Review of vendor engineering drawings, calculations , technical documents, and interface with other disciplines and departments;Knowledge of API, ASME, ANSI, PED Directive, TEMA, EN and other process industry codes and standards is necessary;Ability to produce accurate project deliverables and maintain project schedules and man hour budgets;Skills & RequirementsDegree in Mechanical Engineering+2/3 years of experience in the same positionfluent English speaker and writerwilling to travel for workAbility to adapt in a fast paced environment#J-*****-Ljbffr
