This is aplayer-coach rolecombining strategic ownership with hands-on involvement.You will lead multiple in-house marketing teams, own the marketing budget, collaborate closely with senior leadership, and oversee external partners. You will take aproactive approachto identifying growth opportunities, improving performance, and evolving the marketing function, while acting as a key connection between the marketing department, the CEO, and the Board of Directors.Your focus will be on driving growth in line with company projections while maintaining and evolving an established brand.What Success Looks LikeAchieving company sales targetsIncreasing direct revenue by12%Successful execution of new product launchesMarketing Functions You Will OwnPerformance & Channel Marketing:OTA marketing (leading the in-house OTA team), SEO, PPC strategy and vendor managementContent, Copy & Social Media:Oversight of all marketing copy and the in-house Copywriter and Social Media / Content teamLifecycle & Email Marketing:Strategy, campaign integration, and performance alignmentDigital Experience:Website content, performance, CRO, UX, and coordination with the internal tech teamBrand, Innovation & Emerging Channels:Brand stewardship, AI/LLM search visibility, and testing new tools and approachesKey ResponsibilitiesDefine and evolve marketing strategy in collaboration with leadershipPlan and execute integrated, multi-channel campaignsLead, align, and develop four in-house marketing teamsOwn and manage the marketing budget and investment decisionsManage external agencies and vendorsEnsure brand consistency while supporting ongoing evolutionTrack performance, report results, and provide insights to leadershipSkills & AttributesStrategic, execution-focused marketer with strong ownership mentalityProven people leader able to set direction and hold teams accountableCreative thinker grounded in data and resultsComfortable managing multiple teams, channels, and prioritiesWorking knowledge ofAI and LLM toolsapplied practically in marketingExcellent written and verbal communication skills inEnglishExperience & Qualifications3–5 years of marketing experience with increasing responsibilityProven experience leading teams and owning marketing budgetsExperience in tours or experience based businesses requiredFluency in English requiredLocation & Work StyleHybrid role based in RomeIn-office3 days per weekTravel to other Carpe Diem Tours destinations as needPlease apply at the following link:
