Commissioning Engineer

Overview AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.We support all AWS data centers and infrastructure that ensures our customers have continual access to the cloud.You will join a diverse team of engineers and specialists to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing limitless capacity at the lowest possible cost.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Data Center Commissioning Engineer (CxE), you will:Support vendors and contractors in the construction and commissioning of systems such as medium/low voltage power, generators, UPS, HVAC, chilled water, BMS, EPMS, testing and balancing, pumps, and hydronic systems.Review design documents, lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT), and manage third-party commissioning vendors.Perform system and integrated testing, audit activities for compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements.Prepare and report status updates, lessons learned, and continuous improvement recommendations.Coordinate site activities with engineering, operations, and contractor teams, prioritizing tasks and resolving issues.Physical RequirementsWalk job sites on uneven terrain, work at heights and from ladders.Regularly walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Lift or move up to 49 lbs individually and participate in group lifts for 50 lbs or more.Carry objects up to 49 lbs for short distances.Work shifts longer than eight hours, potentially at night and on weekends.Manipulate small wires and objects easily.Work in noisy environments and temperature extremes.Additional Job RequirementsAbility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the year.Required to provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits; reimbursement provided.U.S. citizenship required.Basic Qualifications5+ years of engineering, installation, or commissioning experience for electrical and mechanical systems.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or 5 years of relevant discipline work experience.High technical competency in mechanical, electrical, or control systems for critical infrastructures, with ability to learn and train in complementary disciplines.Understanding of design intent and documentation, providing feedback consistent with Amazon standards.Experience developing commissioning documentation such as test plans, scripts, and reports.Preferred QualificationsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with SharePoint preferred.Strong communication, detail orientation, and organization skills.Experience developing and executing test procedures for mechanical or electrical systems based on design intent.Ability to read and edit construction documents (drawings, specifications, control diagrams, etc.).EEO and Disability StatementAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation, please visit .CompensationBase pay ranges from $105,100 to $185,000 per year depending on market location.Additional compensation may include equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits.For more information, visit .#J-*****-Ljbffr
