OverviewThe Manufacturing Engineer Leader (M.E Ldr) will be responsible for defining, designing, and followed by the building of equipment to support shop activities.This role will support shop floor personnel from a technical standpoint and drive productivity/manufacturability/cost-out improvements for the business.The M.E. Ldr will also work to develop procedures, work instructions, and methods to support production.The role is intended to be a Team Leader role and requires People Leader experience.Job DescriptionThese responsibilities specifically include but are not limited to the following:Provide technical support in the disassembly, repairs and assembly processes for the shop floorDefine, design, and follow the execution of equipment/devices/machines starting by drafting technical specification till commissioning in the workshop.The M.E. Ldr will work strictly with:Lines leaders/shop leader: to know and satisfy the needs of the shop.EHS: to be compliant with internal and by Law requirement.Quality team: to respect the product high quality level.Lean team: to develop solutions in line with the lean concept.Finance dept: to define the expenses and business cases where needed.Product engineer dept: to know the product.Sourcing Dept: to discuss the requirement asked for the bid phase.Develop Work instructions, methods, processes and procedures to give detailed information to the shop.i.e.: Handling, and lifting procedures, assembly, and disassembly procedures, etc....collaborating with ops and cross-functions team (see previous point)Define hours to apply to the shop floor operation routings according to the operation to perform.Lead, and present to leadership, analysis and perform metrics and KPI to monitor shop floor performances in terms of efficiency/productivity (hours analysis applied on the routings: for instance planned Vs actuals)Provide leadership/mentorship for team to lead shop floor improvement projects to resolutionShare best practices across shop floor to drive consistency, ensure our processes are continuously improvesUnderstand and collect the shop depts needs to create the investment plan.Track and be responsible for costs & expenses for the fixtures among the depts to respect the budget defined year over year.Perform Service Routings Analysis to define equipment/fixture/methods to perform the activities in shopfloorLead the execution of the Fixtures working with Engineering external vendors from the designing phase to the fixture's delivery.Purchase commercial equipment/device to support production.Support process improvement initiatives (like AWO, Committee) to reduce waste, cycle time, improve EHS/Quality/Ergonomics.Develop a strong partnership with internal and external teams to build continuous process improvementPartner with cross-functional leaders to drive a strong culture in Quality and Safety by leading by exampleHold self and team accountable to Aero Alliance Compliance and Integrity standards, while being a sponsorHold self and team accountable to Aero Alliance EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) culture, driving a safe workplace and environmentQualifications/RequirementsBachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma); or equivalent experienceExcellent analytical skillsProficient skills in PC, Microsoft Office, Excel, AccessUse of CAD toolingOracle or other ERP system experienceFluency in Italian & EnglishBe a Solution-oriented problem solverDesired CharacteristicsBe flexible in a dynamic environment.Use of FEMStrong attention to details and quality.Customer-focused mindsetExperience with Gas Turbine engines, preferably aircraft or aero derivativesAbility to interact with all levels and functions of the organizationAbility to document, plan, market, and execute programs and projectsLean Manufacturing experience driving process improvementLean, DMS and problem solving processes Knowledge.Six Sigma certification a plusAdditional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: No#J-*****-Ljbffr
