Re-advertisement: Statistics & Monitoring Officer (Nutrition), P-2, Temporary Appointment (364 days), Data & Analytics, DAPM, Florence, Italy, #********UNICEF works worldwide to protect children's rights, and the Division of Data, Analytics, Planning and Monitoring (DAPM) uses data-driven insights to achieve those objectives.This temporary 364-day appointment supports data collection, analysis, and dissemination of nutrition indicators for UNICEF's programmatic and monitoring activities.ResponsibilitiesData collection, compilation, analysis and quality assurance.Capacity development and country support.Data dissemination and advocacy.Partnerships and representation.Software and IT tools.Data workflow methodologies – from data collection to publication.Minimum RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Health Administration, Public Health, Nutrition and Dietetics, Statistics, Economics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or related fields.A master's or higher degree is a strong asset.Work experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in nutrition, statistics, economics, public policy, infant and young child feeding, monitoring, data collection, data analysis, database management, or data dissemination.Skills: Nutrition data expertise, statistical programming and proficiency in statistical software such as Stata, SPSS, or R.Language: Fluency in English is required.DesirablesKnowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language.Experience with GitHub, data visualization, anthropometry data, micronutrients data.Relevant experience at country level, especially in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.Core CompetenciesBuilds and maintains partnerships.Demonstrates self-awareness and ethical awareness.Drive to achieve results for impact.Innovates and embraces change.Manages ambiguity and complexity.Think and act strategically.Works collaboratively with others.UNICEF is an equal opportunity employer.All selected candidates will be expected to adhere to U.N. core values and competence requirements, and will undergo reference and background checks.Positions may require medical clearance and, for international posts, a visa.Applicants from the West and Central African Region (WCAR), Middle East and North African Region (MENAR), East Asia and Pacific Region (EAPR) and Latin America and Caribbean Region (LACR) are encouraged to apply.#J-*****-Ljbffr
