.Junior Mechanical Architecture Engineer page is loaded## Junior Mechanical Architecture Engineerlocations:Pistoia, Tuscany, Italytime type:Full timeposted on:Posted Todayjob requisition id:R*********Location:**Pistoia, Tuscany, Italy**Job ID:**R*********Date Posted:**************Company Name:**Hitachi Rail S.p.A.**Profession (Job Category):**Other**Job Schedule:**Full time**Remote:**NoA career at Hitachi Rail will help create a legacy.With operations in every corner of the world, our work goes to the cutting-edge of digital transformation and technology.From the multi-cultural strength of our global organisation to the sustainable and innovative ways we work to bring people together, there's something for everyone to get stuck into.And that's where you come in.**Job Description:****Job Description**Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated **Junior Mechanical Architecture Engineer** who thrives in a fast-paced environment.The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks in Engineering Department.The position is based in **PISTOIA**A career at Hitachi Rail will help create a legacy.With operations in every corner of the world, our work goes to the cutting-edge of digital transformation and technology.From the multi-cultural strength of our global organisation to the sustainable and innovative ways we work to bring people together, there's something for everyone to get stuck into.And that's where you come in.**Accountabilities*** Define train architecture and transversal performances (weight, gauge, ergonomics)* Draft and manage the technical specification of provision, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders.* Develop and maintain layout designs for vehicle seating areas in compliance with standards and project needs.* Monitor project KPIs and evaluate design constraints related to Sub-System Breakdown Structure (SBS) activities and deliverables.* Lead structural engineering activities, including codesign and welded parts of carbody components.* Define the mechanical interfaces of the carbody shell structure, and related sub-systems.* Perform requirements management using standard tools such as DOORS.**Required Skills/ Knowledge*** Degree in Mechanical Engineering.* Experience of at least 1 year in projects in the railway industry.* In-depth knowledge of relevant standards and regulations for rail vehicle design.* Proficiency with CADtools, such as Autodesk and CREO 11.* Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS preferred).* Basic knowledge of electrics and mechanics is required.* Knowledge of the main office automation software/tools (Word, Excel, etc.)* Knowledge of mechanical design software (Autocad, Creo, Catia, etc.) and the IBM DOORS requirements management tool.* Knowledge of Engineering Processes and Railway Operations.* Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation, with the attitude to contribute with constructive and practical ideas.* Readiness to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multitasking international environment.* Ability to work autonomously in teams and for projects is required.* Availability for short-term national and international business trip**Desired Skills/ Knowledge*** Ability to manage and plan the assigned tasks independently and team-working.* Ability to analyze business requirements, problem-solving attitude and business process analysis.* Ability to face with the different internal functions (internal customer) and external (suppliers, customers, partners).* Planning and organization.* Versatile in learning and strong desire to remain up-to-date with changes in technology and best industry practices.* Strong business acumen & technical skills.* Good communication and interpersonal skills.* Attitude to work in an international and multi-cultural reality.**Education/Qualifications*** Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background**Languages**Good knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory.English language knowledge on at least international B2 level.At Hitachi Rail, there is a place for everyone.We welcome and value differences in background, age, gender, sexuality, family status, disability, race, nationality, ethnicity, religion, and world view.It is our commitment to create an inclusive environment -
