General InformationCountry/RegionItalyProvince/CityTuscanyHiring EntityRosewood Castiglion del BoscoDepartmentSales & MarketingJob TypeFull-time PermanentJob DescriptionDiscover your CallingWe are recruiting for a Director of Sales position to join the Sales & Marketing team at Rosewood Castiglion del BoscoAs Director of Sales and reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing you will contribute to the formulation of a commercial strategy covering all segments and channels to maximize revenue and profit performance of the hotel.This is a key position for supporting the growth of Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco.Job DescriptionManage and deliver results of your own accounts and markets (defined with DOSM and in light of market/hotel needs).Work closely with the Director of Revenue & Reservations in preparing monthly forecasts, departmental budget, effective cost controls and function space yield maximisation.Lead and develop a sales team to deliver the Hotel's KPI (Key Performance Indicators – e.g. GOP, Total Revenue, ARR, Occ etc.).Responsible for achieving rooms' revenues as well as the targets set by the DOSM within the year (generation of leads, prospecting, converting, competition check, team goals establishment, Employee satisfaction survey results, etc...).Monitor Comp sets activities and intelligence sources to identify sources of business and prospect new leads/accounts to achieve an unfair market share.Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.Assist in the formation of the annual department budget, and to monitor it throughout the year, reporting reasons for all variances in actual versus budget and recommending and implementing appropriate actions.Develop and supervise the sales team, recognizing training opportunities, organizing day-to-day operation of the office and maintaining successful communications within the team.Attending weekly and monthly meetings including revenue, profit & loss, marketing and head of department reviews.Job RequirementsA minimum of 10 years' experience in luxury hospitality sales, with at least 3 years in a similar managerial role.Familiarity with LQA/Forbes standards and operational systems like Opera PMS.Fluent in both Italian and English, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.A keen eye for detail, polished interpersonal skills, and a natural flair for relationship-building.A team player who embodies our core values and actively contributes to a positive and ambitious work culture.A proactive mindset with a desire to mentor others and contribute to internal development initiatives.Being part of Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco team means that training and development opportunities are available and with the hotel being a key part of Rosewood's global expansion plans, this role could be a stepping stone to exciting international career opportunities.LI-VC1About UsExploreRosewood Castiglion del Bosco is located in Montalcino, Tuscany, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Val d'Orcia, and it is infused with breath-taking natural beauty, Italian heritage and lifestyle, and a vibrant culture defined by centuries of history and traditions.The resort offers 42 suites, 11 villas, two restaurants, a cooking school, The Spa and a curated selection of activities and excursions.The ****-acre estate also embraces an historical Brunello di Montalcino winery and an exclusive private members' golf club.Rosewood Hotels and Resorts operates a distinctive collection of 33 iconic hotels and resorts in 21 countries around the world.Guided by our A Sense of Place philosophy, each property offers residential-style luxury, intuitive service, and a distinct character inspired by the culture, history, geography, and community of its locale.Relationship HospitalityWe believe that true hospitality springs from the nurturing and building of strong and lasting relationships with fellow associates, guests, partners, and communities.We do this by recognizing and valuing each other on a personal level, understanding individuality and respecting differences.We recognize our guests' individual needs, engage them with warm and genuine service, delivered with passion and dedication on a day-by-day basis.BenefitsAt Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco we want our associates to feel appreciated for everything they do and bring to the company's success.We believe that an excellent work-life balance is one of the keys to employee engagement and satisfaction, as well as continuous training and opportunities for professional growth within an international company such as Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.This is our way to say Thank You.When you work for us you:Get 2 days off per weekEnjoy the benefits of overtime
