Apply for theMechanical Leader - Fernorole atIndie Campers .About UsIndie Campers is the leading campervan marketplace on a mission to make road trips accessible to everyone.We use a digital, customer-centric approach to deliver a strong booking experience and high-quality road trips at affordable prices.With over one million nights rented and more than 300,000 travelers from 169 countries, we offer short-term RV rentals, long-term campervan subscriptions, and the option to buy vehicles directly through our platform.Rooted in technology, our challenges are exciting and demanding and require top talent and motivation.We are growing our team and looking for people eager to pursue this dream with us and join an ever-developing journey.The RoleWe are seeking a proactive and skilledMechanical Leaderto oversee the operations of our workshop.The ideal candidate will coordinate a team of mechanics, establish repair priorities, manage spare parts and stocks, and maintain budgetary control, all while upholding high standards of quality and safety.What Will You Work OnTeam ManagementSupervise and coordinate the daily activities of a team of mechanics, including scheduling, task allocation, and performance reviews.Provide hands-on guidance and training to ensure team members develop technical skills and adhere to company standards.Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.Workshop OperationsPlan, prioritize, and oversee campervan repair and maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with safety regulations.Act as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues or complex repairs.Inventory and Spare Parts ManagementMonitor stock levels of tools, spare parts, and consumables, ensuring availability to meet operational needs.Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement and negotiate cost-effective purchasing agreements.Maintain accurate inventory records and implement cost-control measures.Budget and ReportingTrack and report on workshop performance metrics, including repair turnaround times and budget adherence.Propose improvements in processes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.Safety and ComplianceEnsure adherence to workplace safety standards and regulations.Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.Who Are We Looking ForProven experience in mechanical repair and maintenance, preferably in campervans or similar vehicles.Knowledge of stock and spare part management systems.Budget management experience and a results-oriented approach.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Are you ready to Go Indie?Seniority level:Mid-Senior levelEmployment type:Full-timeJob function:Management and ManufacturingIndustries:Travel Arrangements#J-*****-Ljbffr
