Digital Transition R&D Project ManagerRINA is currently recruiting for a Digital Transition R&D Project Manager to join its office in Rome or Genoa (Italy) within the Management Consulting Division.MissionAs an R&D Project Manager working on European-funded Research and Development (R&D) projects, your primary role is to oversee the proposal and project management of projects supported by European funding, from proposal writing to project execution and completion.In the proposal stage, you will lead and coordinate the proposal writing tasks ensuring alignment with funding requirements and strategic priorities.In the execution phase, you will be responsible for project implementation, ensuring adherence to the budget, timeline constraints, and grant obligations, while maximizing impact and innovation.The considered proposals and projects will typically focus on digital transition solutions in many sectors including manufacturing industry, health, hard-to-abate industries, energy production, automotive, space, etc.Key AccountabilitiesScouting and AnalysisCollaborate with senior consultants and teams to conduct research and identify European-funded R&D opportunities in the engineering sector.Analyze project requirements, eligibility criteria, and funding structures to assess feasibility.Consortium Building SupportSupport the identification and outreach to potential partners, including research institutions, industry players, and other stakeholders.Assist in coordinating activities to establish project consortia that bring together complementary expertise.Proposal Development AssistanceWork alongside senior consultants and partners to contribute to the development of project proposals for submission to European funding agencies.Ensure alignment with technical, financial, and regulatory requirements.Project ManagementDevelop and oversee project plans, ensuring alignment with scope, objectives, and funding requirements.Manage resources, budgets, and compliance, optimizing efficiency and financial control.Lead interdisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and innovation.Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.Stakeholder CommunicationFacilitate communication between the organization, consortium members, and relevant stakeholders.Contribute to relationship-building efforts to enhance collaboration and project success.Compliance OversightWork with senior consultants to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations related to European funding.Contribute to the preparation of progress reports for funding agencies and internal management, in coordination with the RINA R&D Financial Manager.Risk Mitigation AssistanceIdentify potential risks affecting R&D projects and communicate them proactively.Support mitigation strategies and help address deviations in project budgets and timelines.EducationMaster's Degree in Engineering GeneralQualificationsMaster's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Information EngineeringA PhD in one of these disciplines is considered a strong preference.2–3 years of experience in managing European and international R&D projects and proposals.Fluency in Italian and proficiency in English are essential requirements.CompetenciesADDRESS THE WAY - Have a big picture of different situations and reinterpret it in a perspective wayBUILD NETWORK - Forge trust relationships, across departments, and outside the organizationCLIENT INTIMACY - Embrace internal and external client needs, expectations, and requirements to ensure maximum satisfactionEARN TRUST - Take everyone's opinion into account and remain open to diversityMAKE EFFECTIVE DECISIONS - Structure activities according to priorities, actions, resources and constraintMANAGE EMOTIONS - Recognise one's and other's emotions and express and regulate one's reactionsPIONEER CHANGE - Actively embrace change and benefit from the new circumstancesPROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - Promote commitment by keeping promises as a Role ModelTHINK FORWARD - Capitalise on experiences and translate them into action plans for the futureRINA is a multinational company providing a wide range of services in the energy, marine, certification, infrastructure & mobility, industry, research & development sectors.Our business model covers the full process of project development, from concept to completion.At RINA, we endeavor to create a work environment where every single person is valued and encouraged to develop new ideas.We provide equal employment opportunities and are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels respected and safe from discrimination or harassment of any kind.We are also compliant to the Italian Law n.*****.#J-*****-Ljbffr
