Role OverviewThe Senior Technician (Transmission / SATCOM) supports NATO deployable and static CIS systems, providing advanced technical assistance for transmission and satellite communication platforms.The role focuses on fault isolation, system maintenance, configuration, and operational readiness across HF, VHF, UHF, and SHF transmission environments.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with deployable SATCOM systems, antenna systems, IP-based transmission networks, and NATO operational environments.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform and assist with 3rd-level maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and restoration of transmission and SATCOM systemsSupport maintenance, upgrades, refurbishments, and system modifications as directedDiagnose faults across complex RF, satellite, and IP-based transmission systemsAssist in planning and tracking corrective and preventive maintenance activitiesConfigure and reconfigure satellite systems including modulation, timing, error coding, bandwidth, and frequency parametersConduct antenna measurements and subsystem testing using appropriate test equipmentSupport the development and maintenance of system documentation, procedures, and technical reportsAssist in monitoring KPIs and system performance to ensure compliance with NATO service level agreementsCoordinate with resource management and logistics teams on asset readinessSupport operational deployments, exercises, and projects as requiredPerform additional duties as assigned; significant TDY is expectedRequirementsVocational training in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 2 years relevant experienceOR secondary education with 4 years of relevant experience within the last 8 yearsWorking knowledge of RF and transmission concepts including antenna theory, modulation techniques, error coding, EIRP calculations, and spectrum analysisExperience with deployable SATCOM systems and antenna configurationsFamiliarity with IP networking concepts (LAN/WAN)Experience reading and interpreting complex electrical and mechanical system diagramsBasic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsExperience with fibre optic measurement techniques (single-mode and multi-mode)Active NATO Secret clearance requiredImportant InformationThis opportunity is open only to individuals who currently hold an active NATO Secret clearance.Clearance sponsorship or reinstatement is not available for this role.This position is a **** / Business-to-Business engagement and is not a W-2 employment role.Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and related business obligations.Interested candidates must apply through our official website to ensure proper review and tracking:#J-*****-Ljbffr
