IDS GeoRadar, part of Hexagon Group, provides products and solutions based on radar technology that secures people safety in dangerous environments and prevents risk hazards in mining, civil engineering, and monitoring applications.Our pioneering spirit and continuous commitment to research & development has enabled us to be at the forefront of radar technologies applications across the globe.For ourPisaoffice we are looking for aElectronic Design Engineer.The candidate will be involved in the electronic design of IDS GeoRadar products, whose main lines include Electromagnetic Locators, Interferometric Radars and Ground Penetrating Radar equipment.He/she will take part in the entire product lifecycle, from design to development to testing, production start-up and lifecycle management.Main tasks will include:Design analog system architecturesDesign, develop, and test electronic boardsProduce product-related documentationResolve design, manufacturing, and supplier issuesWhat we want you to do:Conceive new designs and schemes for new products.Maintain existing products and designs.Perform testing, validation, verification and troubleshooting on circuit board prototypes using lab equipment.Oversee and perform customer return testing and suggest design improvements or corrective action based on evaluation of test data.Define design requirements and work with external contractors for layout and other support activities when necessary.Communicate with suppliers, manufacturers and distributors for part selection and troubleshooting.Be compliant with workplace health and safety requirements and directions when working on customer / dealer / end user sites.Additional duties may be assigned from time to time.What we would like to see:Good analytical and problem-solving skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsHands-on approach, whether it be building a prototype or performing testing with dedicated test benchesStrong grasp of fundamentals of circuit analysis and designSignificant experience in analog circuit design such as analogue front-ends, signal conditioning systems and power management systemsGood knowledge with Cadence OrCAD X PlatformGood knowledge of PCB design and layout considerationsExpertise in the use of analog circuits simulation toolsKnowledge of laboratory instruments (Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Signal Generator, Power Meter, etc.)5+ years experience in a similar positionIt would be preferred to also have:Familiarity with industry standards for analog circuit designExperience in Electromagnetic circuit design and EM propagationExperience in RF & Microwaves circuits designExperience with Altium PlatformExpertise in the use of electromagnetic (EM) simulation software (HFSS)Basic knowledge of Labview or Python scriptingLanguages:Italian: excellent written and spoken skillsEnglish: good written and spoken skillsA very small part of working time may be spent traveling to:Meet suppliers and manufacturers when neededPerform on site measurement and give support to other departmentsSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionIT Services and IT Consulting and Appliances, Electrical, and Electronics Manufacturing#J-*****-Ljbffr
