We were meant to fly.As System Engineer - Engine Owner and Testing Engine you will work in Catalyst Systems team and you will be responsible for one or more test engines (depending on test complexity) during test program. You will manage engine configuration, instrumentation and test enabling hardware integration, support engine assembly and test cell installation. You will also ensure that test plans meet government and engineering requirements, ensure test objectives are met, schedule and execute to test on time, and report results for first time yield.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsabilitiesDefine engine configuration and drive the definition of the instrumentation scope, Test Enabling Hardware and Digital Engine ModelSupport Engine Assembly and Test Cell InstallationChair the Test Vehicle ReviewSupport preparation and execution of Tollgate ReviewsAssign and manage test requirements, develop test approach and provide cost/time estimates,Manage test design reviews, write engine and rig test plans for R&D and certification testPartner with TSE evaluation engineers in development of instrumentation, test enabling hardware and test cell requirementsSpecify test conduct requirements and organize test witnessing, perform general oversight of testing and ensure proper documentationSupport Supply Chain Test Engineering organization during test execution phaseLead engineering team as systems focal during test execution phase and help solving test issues as neededCreate clear concise and accurate engineering documentationAnalyze test statuses, risks, problems and solutions and communicate regularly to managementAssist in planning and cross-team coordination with various project groupsQualifications / RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering fieldPrevious experience in testing or engineering positionExperience with leading engine/components tests of aerospace or industrial productsSolid project leadership skillsStrong problem solving skillsAbility to work in a cross-functional matrix environmentStrong communication and presentation skillsFluent English languageWork Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsFluent Italian languageGood customer-oriented approach with a focus on quality and costGood analytical and problem resolution skillsMotivated to grow, proactive and able to set own action plansWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes hybrid work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
