Data Center Manager, Data Center OperationsAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running.We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help.You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.About The RoleAs a Data Center Manager in ADSIPL, you will get to manage the world's largest Cloud Computing Infrastructure in India.We encounter interesting, challenging & complex problems every day, being a technical manager in ADSIPL means that you can innovate to solve these issues and help drive Operations Excellence in all areas of your role.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging and developing teams of engineers, providing both technical and leadership expertise and ensuring highest levels of performance.Maintaining existing co-located and in-house Data Centers.Helping build and bring online new Data Centers.Constantly improving all our processes and procedures.Assisting & managing relationships with external vendors & contractors.Liaising with internal teams & management groups.Ensuring we adhere to and exceed local Health & Safety standards in all our Data Centers.Creating and maintaining metrics on all aspects of our Data Centers and utilizing those metrics to drive positive changes.Assisting in implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.Desired QualificationsExperience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.4+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.3+ years of managing IT technical teams with significant personnel management experience and examples of developing engineers and building successful teams.Proven management of a team of at least 5 individuals over at least 3 years.Experience with Incident, Change, Fault management and leverages Kaizen/Lean/Six Sigma principles.Knowledge of Health & Safety and ability to positively influence safety culture.Strong vendor management experience with external vendors, contractors and security companies.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent STEM field.1+ years of Agile methods and processes experience.Experience in capacity planning, operations planning, business analysis or similar.Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts.Experience implementing change management successfully transitioning programs into large-scale operations.About the Team and CultureAmazon values diverse experiences and offers a supportive, inclusive culture.Work/life balance, mentorship, career growth, and continuous innovation are core to our team.You will have flexibility and opportunities to develop into a rounded professional.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.#J-*****-Ljbffr
