At Amazon, we have hundreds of facilities across Europe.They're not just workplaces – they're our hubs where teams meet and collaborate to make sure we're always delivering the best we can for our customers.As a Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Area Manager, you'll bring together the elements that make our working environment as supportive and efficient as possible.Your focus will be to lead and mentor a team of expert technicians dedicated to equipment reliability.Key Job ResponsibilitiesSupport colleagues in site compliance with safety policies and proceduresImplement EU network standards, plan preventative maintenance and ensure technical availabilityCollaborate with colleagues to collect and analyse data to improve processesDeliver and support both site-based and network-level projectsLead, support and mentor your team to develop their careerA Day in the LifeYou'll be based at one of our operational sites, where you'll give practical guidance to your team and gain a clear vision of what's happening at your site.This involves collecting data and solving problems in a fast-paced environment, creating an operational plan to improve productivity and efficiency, and managing your team's performance and development, including organising additional training.About the TeamOur Reliability Maintenance Engineering team keeps equipment performing its best.We handle most aspects of Amazon's technical side, from installing automated packaging systems to maintaining key distribution equipment.Our work focuses on reducing downtime in Amazon's crucial operations sites, ensuring customers receive their orders on time.Opportunities for progression exist both within the RME team and across Amazon.Basic QualificationsRelevant experience as part of a maintenance team in an industrial or production environment handling a variety of complex business processesRelevant experience managing people in an engineering teamExperience liaising and managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including third-party vendorsAdvanced proficiency in written and spoken English and upper intermediate proficiency in local languagePreferred QualificationsDegree in Engineering or another technical fieldUK Higher National Diploma (HND), Higher National Certificate (HNC), BTEC National Diploma (OND), Ieng, CEng or ILM L4+Experience with statutory regulations such as compliance checks and machine safety protocolsExperience with automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation and conveyor systemsExperience using data analysis tools and PLC-based control systemsExperience with project management or Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma processesExperience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)Amazon is an equal opportunity employer.We make recruiting decisions based on your experience and skills and value diversity.We comply with all applicable anti-discrimination laws.If you need an accommodation during the application process, please visit our accommodations page.#J-*****-Ljbffr
