Digital IC Design Engineer - BergamoWho are we looking for?We are looking for a Digital Design Engineer to develop and verify complex digital subsystems for an advanced Electronic Integrated Circuit (EIC) enabling next-generation optical I/O.The ideal candidate is comfortable working with licensed and in-house IP, collaborates efectively with mixed-signal and system teams, and enjoys building robust, silicon-ready digital logic in a high-performance environment.What will you be doing?• Design, implement, and verify digital logic for an EIC supporting advanced optical I/OapplicationsIntegrate licensed IP blocks (e.g. UCIe, RISC-V) with proprietary digital subsystemsDevelop control, confguration, calibration, self-test, and diagnostic logic for high-speedSerDes and mixed-signal blocksWrite and maintain RTL (SystemVerilog / Verilog) and associated testbenchesPerform functional verifcation, simulation, and debug using Cadence EDA toolsCollaborate closely with analog, SerDes, frmware, and system architects to defneinterfaces and requirementsSupport synthesis, timing closure, and design sign-of activitiesContribute to documentation, design reviews, and continuous improvement of digital designmethodologiesWhat we need to see?Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related feldExperience in digital IC design and verifcation for complex SoCs or mixed-signal ICsStrong RTL design skills in Verilog or SystemVerilogExperience integrating third-party IP (e.g. processor cores, interconnects, or standardinterfaces)• Familiarity with control and monitoring logic for high-speed interfaces (SerDes, calibration,BIST, diagnostics)Hands-on experience with Cadence EDA tools for simulation, synthesis, and verifcationSolid understanding of digital design fundamentals (clocking, resets, CDC, low-powerconcepts)• Ability to work efectively in cross-functional teams and communicate clearly acrossdisciplines
