Accounting & Tax ManagerFCID is seeking an "Accounting and Tax Manager" to support the business operations in Italy. The role will report into the Senior Manager, Accounting FCID Europe Asia located in Greece with responsibilities over 4 direct reports in Italy, 1 in Thailand and 1 in Mexico. Primary responsibilities include management of local accounting, tax, treasury and filings operations in Italy, Mexico, Thailand and Romania.AccountabilitiesPrepare monthly closure using Netsuite, GL accounts reconciliations/reclasses, IC reconciliations, AR/AP details, bank details, dividend payments and other cash transfer across the Group;Coordinate and oversee the tax matters and deal with local advisor and US tax Manager. Tax matters are mainly related to current income taxes, DTA/DTL, VAT, WHT, R&D deductions opportunities etc;Manage Preparation of monthly accrual and related supporting documentation;Manage revenue recognition activities for Italy, Mexico, Thailand and Romania;Import summary balances coming from subsidiaries in Mexico, Thailand and the branch in Romania;Support to Global Finance function in implementing new accounting principles/tools (i.e. cash collection policies, DoA, internal control matrix);Support to Global Finance function in automatizing the internal flow (from paper to shared folders);Manage and coordinate local statutory audit and all the local filings (preparation of minutes of BoD and shareholder's meeting and support external tax office in finalize annual financial statement);Deal with advisor (accounting, tax, auditors) and provide document to complete statutory, vat and income tax declaration.Core competencies / requirements:Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulationsExperience of minimum 4 years in Audit (preferably Big 4 or tier 2 audit firms)Experience of minimum 4-5 years in a multinational group (ideally operating in service market)Knowledge of Microsoft package (Excel)Ability to work in an international, fast paced and change driven environmentAbility to manage an heterogenous team, composed by many individuals, with different competences and backgroundsProactivity, high attention to detail and accuracyPlace of work is Bologna with need to work from office on a hybrid basisLanguage: fluent EnglishNice to have:CPA or other local chartered accountant qualificationExperience working with NetsuiteIdeally strong experience with IFRS or US GAAPAbout UsFoodChain IDwas founded in **** as Genetic ID, a pioneer of the GMO food identification industry—one that is now embraced worldwide.
