OverviewAmazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS' global infrastructure.We support all data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep the cloud running.The AWS Network Deploy Technician works in a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers to deliver safety and security standards while scaling capacity at the lowest cost for our customers.We are committed to an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers individuals to own projects to completion.Key Job Responsibilities- Manage work and prioritize tickets and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.- Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.- Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including device configuration and low-level application interaction.- Handle cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.- Specify power and cooling requirements, ensuring hardware racking and stacking for new equipment.- Participate in migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.- Support the migration of data center locations and assist with capacity management.Travel and Physical Requirements- Up to 30% travel within the geographical work area; additional travel, possibly international, may be requested.- Ability to lift computer equipment up to 40 lbs.- Availability to work in a 24/7 operating environment.- All physical requirements are expectations; reasonable accommodations are available.Basic Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.- 1+ year of relevant experience in a data center or critical environment.- Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.Preferred Qualifications- Data center experience; industry standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).- Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment.- Experience with tools for network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDR, and power meters.- Understanding of infrastructure technologies: routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls.- Proficiency with major command line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common networking protocols (BGP, OSPF).Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.#J-*****-Ljbffr
