Sr.Embedded SDE, Hardware Compute Group Amazon Lab126 is an inventive research and development company that designs and engineers high-profile consumer electronics.Lab126 began in **** as a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc., originally creating the best-selling Kindle family of products.Since then, we have produced devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Echo and the Astro personal robot.What will you help us create?Work hard.Have fun.Make history.We are looking for a Sr.Embedded Software Development Engineer with a strong background in SOC Security to help design our security systems in our next generation devices.In this role you will work with system architects, program managers and hardware engineers to implement security features and assess security software architecture for our next generation devices.You will be responsible for the development of real-time embedded firmware and embedded Linux software that implements security controls for the platform.Key job responsibilitiesDevelop real-time embedded firmware and embedded Linux software that implements security controls and features for the platformWork closely with system architects, program managers, and hardware engineers to design and integrate security solutions into the next generation of Amazon devicesAssess security software architecture and provide recommendations to improve the overall security posture of the platformImplement cryptographic algorithms, secure boot, and other security primitives in the embedded software stackDevelop security monitoring and telemetry capabilities to detect and mitigate security threatsPerform security code reviews, penetration testing, and vulnerability analysis to identify and remediate security issuesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security requirements are met throughout the product development lifecycleStay up-to-date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques in the embedded systems domainMentor other engineers on the teamBasic Qualifications5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceExperience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering teamExperience with design, implementation, support, and evaluation of security-focused tools and servicesKnowledge of security technology and concepts (Authentication, Authorization, Single sign-on, Cryptography, etc.)Preferred Qualifications5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentExperience in computer architecture, or experience writing low level driversOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, including support for the interview or onboarding process, please visit for more information.If the country/region you're applying in isn't listed, please contact your Recruiting Partner.Posted: December 24, **** (Updated about 2 hours ago)Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.#J-*****-Ljbffr
