Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with strong expertise in Juniper Networks platforms — including SRX firewalls, MX routers, EX switches, and Mist-based wired, wireless, and WAN solutions.The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-grade network and security infrastructures leveraging Juniper's advanced technologies across routing, switching, SD-WAN, SASE, and network assurance domains.Key Responsibilities :1. Network Infrastructure (Routing & Switching)Design, configure, and manage Juniper MX routers and EX series switches for enterprise and data center environments.Implement dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS) and ensure optimized routing performance and redundancy.Perform VLAN, trunking, and Layer 2 / Layer 3 switching configurations following best practices.Conduct performance analysis, fault isolation, and proactive optimization of the Juniper network infrastructure.2. SD-WAN & Mist IntegrationDeploy, configure, and maintain Juniper Mist Edge and SSR (Session Smart Router) for SD-WAN environments.Manage Mist Cloud dashboards for wired, wireless, and WAN assurance.Utilize Mist AI for proactive analytics, user experience monitoring, and network optimization.Implement Mist NAC (Network Access Control) policies and enforce secure onboarding of users and devices.Conduct or assist in wireless site surveys and planning for optimal AP placement and coverage using Mist tools.3. Network SecurityConfigure and manage Juniper SRX firewalls for both perimeter and internal segmentation.Implement advanced security features including :IPS (Intrusion Prevention System)AppSecureURL FilteringCloud AV / ASATP Cloud (Advanced Threat Prevention)Security Intelligence feedsConfigure on-premise and cloud-managed SRX devices using Cloud Security Director (CSD) .Implement and maintain remote access VPN (IPSec / SSL) for secure remote connectivity.Design and manage Juniper Secure Edge (SASE) environments integrating security and SD-WAN policies.Configure and monitor Juniper DDoS protection (TDD) and Dynamic Defense mechanisms.4. Security Analytics & MonitoringIntegrate and manage Juniper Secure Analytics (JSA / QRadar) for centralized event correlation and log analysis.Develop and fine-tune correlation rules, alerts, and dashboards to monitor security posture and network health.Collaborate with SOC teams to investigate incidents and enforce network-level mitigations.5. Documentation, Support & Continuous ImprovementMaintain detailed network diagrams, configurations, and change logs.Provide Level 2 / 3 escalation support for complex network / security issues.Participate in proof-of-concepts (POCs) , solution testing, and deployment planning for new Juniper technologies.Conduct performance reviews and suggest optimization strategies leveraging AI-driven insights from Mist.Required Skills & Qualifications :5–10 years of experience in enterprise networking and security with strong exposure to Juniper platforms.Hands-on experience with :SRX Series (firewalls, VPN, AppSecure, IPS, ATP)MX Series (core and edge routing)EX Series (switching, NAC)Mist AI platform (wired, wireless, and WAN assurance)SSR (Session Smart Router) for SD-WANKnowledge of Juniper Secure Edge (SASE) , Security Director Cloud , and JSA / QRadar .Strong understanding of TCP / IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, QoS, and high availability .Familiarity with Wi-Fi site surveys , RF planning, and Mist AP deployments.Experience in network automation (Python, Ansible, or Junos Automation) is a plus.Juniper certifications (JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, or JNCIE) in Security, Enterprise Routing & Switching, or Mist AI highly desirable.Preferred Certifications :JNCIA / JNCIS / JNCIP (Security, Enterprise, or Mist AI)Mist AI for Enterprise Certified Professional (MEA-CP)Juniper Networks Certified Specialist – Security (JNCIS-SEC)JNCIS-ENT / JNCIP-ENT / JNCIS-MISTAISoft Skills :Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Proactive mindset for continuous learning and technology adoption.#J-*****-Ljbffr
