ResponsibilitiesHandling certification projects for products belonging to Wiring Devices segment (e.g., Connectors, Terminal Blocks, Cable Trays, Conduits, etc.).Follows up on contacts from clients.Examines samples for compliance with UL requirements and notifies client of any areas in which the product is not in compliance or of any changes in project scope or specifications.Determines project scope, develops a preliminary plan of investigation.Establishes appropriate test programs by reviewing files and manufacturer's information, examining samples, and applying UL requirements.Communicates project status and results to clients through frequent contact and by preparing reports.Assists in resolving engineering issues related to safety, quality, capability, capacity, speed or cost.Learns to analyze and report on the acceptability of the variations.Prepares datasheets, test instructions, and descriptive reports.Communicates with clients to discuss results, completion date, etc., and explains UL procedures and requirements.Projects may include travel to conduct or witness tests at client sites.Provides technical assistance to clients in reference to product inspection and follow-up services.Performs other duties as directed.QualificationsUniversity degree in Electrical Engineering, preferred.Master degree or bachelor (fresh graduate as well).Alternative: high school degree and a minimum of 3–5 years of related work experience, with knowledge of electrical industrial products.Passion for energy distribution, testing of power products and a drive to explore new technologies.Experience with electrical test equipment; experience with testing and certification services is a strong asset.Written and verbal English language skills.Excellent communication skills and strong client focus.About UsA global leader in applied safety science, UL Solutions (NYSE: ULS) transforms safety, security and sustainability challenges into opportunities for customers in more than 110 countries.UL Solutions delivers testing, inspection, and certification services, together with software products and advisory offerings, that support our customers' product innovation and business growth.The UL Mark serves as a recognized symbol of trust in our customers' products and reflects an unwavering commitment to advancing our safety mission.We help our customers innovate, launch new products and services, navigate global markets and complex supply chains, and grow sustainably and responsibly into the future.Our science is your advantage.About The TeamWe work at the center of safety and sustainability — we're helping to tackle the worst aspects of the global climate crisis with projects in electrical infrastructure, renewable energy and electrified transportation.Whether we're helping customers make safer electric vehicle batteries or debating the impact of wind farms, we develop cutting-edge safety science.And we do it in some of the largest and best-equipped laboratories in the world.We're always looking for people to help us explore, experiment and advance ideas that change the way the world works.Join our team and help create a cleaner, safer future for all.#J-*****-Ljbffr
