LASERCOMM SYSTEM ENGINEER – ABOUT THE ROLEWe craft cutting-edge mechanical engineering solutions, pushing the boundaries of innovation for both ground and space-based optical applications.Whether on Earth or in the vastness of space, we provide the engineering excellence that ensures your optical systems perform at their peak.We are looking for a LASERCOMM SYSTEM ENGINEER to help shape the future of space optical communications.We seek a results-driven individual who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, particularly in the areas of mechanical engineering, electronics, and operations.System level activities related to the design and realization of Optical Ground Stations for Laser Communication and/or Satellite Laser Ranging, including:Establishment and maintenance of relevant performance budgetsAnalysis and simulation activitiesContribution to integration and verification activitiesContribution to experimental testing activities in the laboratory and/or fieldIdentification and Coordination of subcontractors and supervision of their activitiesMaster's degree or Ph D in engineering or physicsMinimum of 3 years of professional experience in optical systems for laser communicationsatellite laser ranginglaser beam propagationlaser physics and photonics.Knowledge of MATLAB/Python/OctaveGood English skillsLaser physics and photonicsKnowledge of software tool for the design and simulation of optical communication systemsExperience with requirement management SW (DOORS and similar)Contract: permanentWorking time: full time, hybrid as per the internal policy
