Climate Insurance Value Chain Lead

Within the Climate Technical Excellence unit, we are looking for a senior professional to shape and implement the Group's approaches to handle the NatCatprimary business value chain (e.g. pricing, loss prevention, risk accumulation monitoring,...).This role will define methodologies and deliverables that enable Group's Business Units to price NatCatrisks accurately, monitor risk accumulations effectively, support clients with loss prevention, enhance pre and post event claims management.The position will play a central role in transforming advanced riskinsights into business-oriented solutions and ensuring consistency across markets.The ideal candidate will work:Defining methodologies and approaches to improve the performance of NatCatinsurance value chain steps (pricing, risk accumulation monitoring, loss prevention, claims management, ...) across the Group.Translating quantitative outputs from risk understanding and modelling into actionable inputs for BUs.Supporting the development of tools and templates to support BU implementation of defined practices.Engaging regularly with BU stakeholders to ensure methodologies are applied consistently and address local business needs.Establishing the calendar, format, and content of deliverables to BUs, ensuring timely support.Acting as a senior advisor to top management and BUs on NatCatinsurance value chain.RequirementsOur ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:5+ years of experience in pricing, underwriting, or accumulation management within insurance or reinsurance.Strong actuarial and quantitative background, with in-depth knowledge of NatCatrisk.Proven ability to design and implement technical methodologies across multiple markets.Hands-on experience with catastrophe models and exposure management systems.Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance local BU needs and Group requirements.Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical analyses into clear recommendations for executives.Strategic mindset, with experience leading transformation or innovation initiatives in risk management.Company ProfileGenerali is a major player in the global insurance industry – a strategic and highly important sector for the growth, development and welfare of modern societies.Over almost 200 years, we have built a multinational Group that is present in more than 60 countries, with 470 companies and nearly 80,000 employees.Our Group aims to become the standard bearer and industry leader in the European retail insurance market, building on our existing base of 50 million retail clients, out of an overall total of 72 million.#J-*****-Ljbffr
